1986 Pontiac Fiero SE with approximately 70,000 miles, northwest owned and nearly always garaged. 2m6 (2.8L Six w/ 4-speed manual).
Very clean inside and out, no tears, no dents, just minor aging. One sail panel is cracked, I have a replacement in box. Factory options include GT wing, GT gauges (oil pressure, volts), Cruise, AM/FM/Cassette w/ subwoofer (cone is torn), AC (still works), remote trunk release, delay wipers, tilt wheel. Manual windows and locks. Both headlights work. Upgrades include K&N air filter and high-output headlights. Cat replaced 3 years ago. Temp gauge wiring mod applied- gauge no longer 'pegs' when switched on, and dash overtemp light works. Transmission shifts easy, synchros work fine, and clutch works fine. Factory maintenance and service manuals included, cover included (has a couple small holes), new brake pins & pads included. Now the bad news- leaks a little oil at the axle seals, and exhaust manifold may have a small crack. Windshield has a crack extending across about 50% of it. I just don't have the time, money, and room to keep it and tinker with it the way I'd like. Fun and fast, it's an absolute joy to drive-- you're connected to the road with all your senses, driving a sports car the way they were intended to be driven. Super road feel at the wheel, lively response to the gas, and no ABS, no power steering, and no traction control taking away your fun. It'll understeer until it decides to oversteer, it'll spin up the tires, and it'll put a huge smile on your face. If you've never owned a Fiero you ought to try it! Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?

Trans Am Depot teases 2014 GTO
Mon, 24 Jun 2013Here comes the Judge. Court is in session. The verdict is in. How many more tired clichés can we come up with? It hardly seems to matter, because it's happening: Trans Am Depot has announced via the teaser video below that it is launching a 2014 GTO, complete with Carousel Red (bright orange, really) paint and full Judge badging.
The car is based on Trans Am Depot's 6T9 Goat, which, in case you don't get the reverential references, is meant to mimic the look of the 1969 Pontiac GTO. As with the company's other cars -including the 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am we recently drove - the GTO will be based on the current Chevy Camaro, which means two doors, V8 engines and rear-wheel drive, just like the muscle cars of days past.
As for actual details of what's under the 2014 GTO's hood, we're completely left hanging. We'd expect some sort of power adder (turbo, supercharger or possibly some other form of a highly massaged version of the Camaro's V8), and we certainly know that GM has any number of hi-po crate engines to choose from.
Florida man runs down bikers in traffic
Tue, May 31 2016A Florida biker and his passenger got a nasty surprise when a road rage incident turned ugly on Monday. According to WTSP, Joe Calderazzo was returning from a Veterans Memorial Day motorcycle rally around 5:30 pm with a group of fellow riders. During their ride, the group got entangled with an overly aggressive driver in a Pontiac. Abe Garcia of Tampa watched the silver Pontiac attempt to run the pack of bikers off the road, which started the altercation. The bikers caught up to the Pontiac in stopped traffic, and a shouting match ensued between the bikers and the Pontiac driver. At this point, Garcia pulled out his phone and started recording. The exchange escalated, and suddenly the Pontiac driver floored it, turned hard to the right, and ran over Calderazzo's Harley. The Pontiac mangled the Harley and knocked Calderazzo and his passenger to the ground. The Pontiac then fled the scene. WTSP spoke to Calderazzo as he was on his way to the hospital. "I thought the guy was trying to kill us obviously," said Calderazzo. "You know you don't know what's going through your mind. Is he going to put the car in reverse? Is he going to turn around? Is he going to stop and pull out a gun? You don't know what's going on." The Pontiac driver, a serial traffic offender named Robert Paul Vance, was picked up by police soon after the incident. He is charged with hit-and-run, a moving traffic violation, and aggravated battery.
