Pontiac Catalina Safari 3-Seat/9-Passenger Wagon Here at MissChiTown we are very proud to be the
marketing arm of so many car collectors that want to advertise on eBay.
As car collectors ourselves very often we really get into the cars that we are
marketing in terms of excitement and passion. It doesnt happen often but
sometimes some cars just check off all the boxes on the want list.
Some of those boxes can be important to collectors
who are looking to purchase a car, such as:
Getting the car from the original owner
Large, original, 1973 V8 motor to propel the car
into fast acceleration capable of cruising at 85-95 mph all day long (even
though it is not legal)
Matching Numbers
Original car with one re-paint to original color.
Original window sticker, original order form and a
lot more documentation that the original owner has kept all of these years.
Having a car that it is not only collectible but
very practical to drive on todays roads, a car that can accommodate a large
family (we know some collectors who get limousines for that purpose but they
can feel a little silly driving a limousine).
This is a big one point, getting a car from the 70s
that has FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING
Having the original miles documented by original
owner
Unusual accessories like the special wheel option.
Factory tinted glass
Rear window defroster from the factory
Posi-Traction equivalent
Factory AM/FM Radio
Ability to carry a family of nine in luxury.
Factory luggage carrier on the roof for luggage.
Deluxe gauges from that time period
The car is still in the factory color Burba Brown
with only one re-paint.
We mention all of the above because any car that
would have half of these positive items would make the car extra hot in the
collector market. We have to say that at MissChiTown that only a very few
times in our history of marketing collector cars have we had any one car that
could check off all the boxes. Yes this car features many of the
important features that collectors desire. If that does not make it one of
the hottest collector station wagons around we dont know what does. This
car in our opinion has multiple opportunities it can be displayed at a museum
with all its virtues listed on a big signboard or the virtues can be made use
of by a collector who wants to use the car as a collector tour car with his
family. We have yet to see a station wagon any time so well equipped with
an original owner, original order sheet, original window sticker and all of the
other items above. The following is a more inclusive description that
also includes the owners description. This very clean and original except
for one repaint in original Burma Brown is being offered by the original owner
is not something you will find often. This car has the third row seating
and cool disappearing power tailgate. When not hauling people around the
2 rear seats can be folded down giving a ton of storage space. You will love the power of the
400 cubic inch V8 with four barrel carburetor in the engine! Backing the
motor is a 400 Turbo Hydramatic transmission with no issues. The car was
fitted with Air Conditioning from the factory as well as power steering and
power brakes. The fit and finish is in beautiful
condition making it a contender at any car show you want to take it to.
The body is in beautiful condition and is very striking in the Burma Brown
paint complimented by the original Beige Naugahyde interior. Look closely
at the chrome and stainless we think you will appreciate how it shines.
The soft ray tinted glass windows are all in good condition. The factory
luggage rack is still mounted in place on the roof. The factory Rally II
wheels really are quite striking and give this car an edgy look. This car may have started out as a
family vehicle but now collectors look upon these cars as great collectibles
just for the Cool Factor. FROM THE BILL OF SALE for this 1973 Ponitac Safari

1969 Pontiac GTO Judge vs. 2006 GTO, which Goat gets your vote?
Mon, 08 Sep 2014The Pontiac GTO was perhaps the most iconic muscle car of the '60s and early '70s. With its beefy V8 and color palette screaming for attention, it summarized in a single vehicle everything that made the era so appealing to many young people. Pontiac tried to collect just a few drops of that aura again in the 2000s with a revived GTO, but with decidedly mixed results. The performance was still there with its big V8, but the looks never quite lived up to the powertrain. Now, Generation Gap wants to know which of these Goats is the one to own.
Things are skewed immediately because the 2006 GTO here is a real ringer. It comes from famous tuner Ken Lingenfelter's collection, and it's a one-off example partially fettled by GM Performance boasting a twin-turbocharged LS2 V8 with a claimed 750 horsepower and a wide-body kit. This Goat definitely isn't what you're going to find just browsing for one to buy in the newspaper. Still, dip the throttle just a little, and this GTO pulls like a freight train. It's enough to turn the two hosts into giggling schoolboys behind the wheel.
The '69 GTO Judge here is also out of Lingenfelter's collection, but this one is all stock with a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 and a Ram Air hood for a claimed 366 hp. It might not have the unbelievable power of the turbo '06, but it makes up for it with style to spare.
Sell Your Own: 2006 Pontiac GTO

Quickly create listings with up to six photos and reach millions of buyers. Log in and create your free listings. In the early '60s, Baby Boomers born immediately after World War II were beginning to buy cars and enjoy their own distinctive music. This wasn't yet the drug culture; rather, it was the drag culture, more Jan and Dean "Dead Man's Curve" than Beatles "Lucy In The Sky." And a Baby Boomer's desired ride, more often than not, was Pontiac's GTO. Introduced as a manned-up option for Pontiac's compact Tempest, the early GTO was 389 cubic inches of romp and stomp. And with a marketing campaign that hit Middle America via what it watched and ate (TV ads and cereal-box promos were a big part of the GTO launch), there was no escaping it. Like most performance coupes and convertibles, 10 years later it was became an emasculated version of its once lusty self. And then it was gone. Its revival, championed by General Motors executive Bob Lutz, was not by any stretch the Second Coming. Starting in 2004, GM modified its Australian-built Holden Monaro to approximate the excitement of the original formula: a coupe body propelled by a big V8. But the Holden's sheetmetal was quietly styled, and even the 400 horsepower available by 2006 didn't electrify buyers. With hindsight, the resurrected GTO is enjoying more attention and, slowly but surely, increasing in value. This for-sale example shows well, enjoys low mileage, and is naturally Β priced well above what is perceived to be its market value. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Jay Leno tries out a 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge that looks factory fresh
Tue, Jan 31 2017The latest machine to show up on Jay Leno's Garage is arguably the most iconic Pontiac GTO, the 1970 Judge. The example here is a radically red model and features all of the nifty Judge features, such as the mega-size rear wing, hood-mounted tachometer, and ram air hood scoop. The latter of which had a panel in the hood that would open up at full throttle to let in all that cool air from outside. The car is owned by the Wade Kawasaki, president of Coker Tires, a company that specializes in reproducing classic tires. Not surprisingly, his GTO features a set of the company's Firestone Wide Oval tires. That particular tire would have come with the car originally, but these new versions are built like modern radial tires, rather than the slippery bias-ply originals. The tires are indicative of how Kawasaki restored the rest of his Judge. Everything has been taken back to factory-spec. It has a stock, 400-cubic inch V8 that makes a supposedly underrated 366 horsepower, and it's complete with the chrome valve covers and foam intake seal. The tires are accompanied by exact replica GTO Judge wheels. The car even has the true, original interior. Somehow, the upholstery, dash, and other interior components survived in excellent condition. Check out the video above for more details on this flashy muscle car, as well as some reminiscing about the "good ol' days," and some history on the origins of the car's name. Related Video:
