Up for sale is my baby. It's a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SSEI. Unfortunately for me my job has been up and down lately and I need to narrow down my expenses which is the ONLY reason this car is on the market.
This is a way above average condition Pontiac Bonneville SSEI. Full leather, dual power heated seats. Sunroof moon roof. Everything on this car works. It has every option you could get at the time This car is absolutely gorgeous. It took me almost 6 months to fund one that I would find acceptable as I am very particular about my cars. The heads up display is fully functional, the AC blows cold, the heater will run you out of the car. It has dual climate control. Traction control. Keyless entry. I can't say enough about this car. It has very superficial scratches which I had a detail polish out before listing. The interior is impeccable. Not one single tear or abrasion on the leather. Headliner in great shape. All the glass is in great shape. No noticeable signs of wear. Even the carpet is cherry! No chips or cracks in the windshield. The tires are about 50% but worn evenly. The transmission shifts positively perfect and the fluid is clean. I'm not exaggerating when i say it's like looking and setting in a brand new car. This was a garage queen and I hope it will stay that way. The factory Eaton supercharger is super quiet. All the options work but I do know that the oil pressure gauge pegs at 120 and stays there so I found out that it needs a new oil pressure sending unit(42$). This car just floats down the road like a boat.
I live in Bend Oregon so if you would like to have a mechanic do a pre purchase check out please feel free to do so. I would actually prefer that you do so you will have a stronger piece of mind towards the purchase of this car. Pick a mechanic(at the buyers expense),give me the address and I will be more than happy to drop it off for the check out. This car has nothing to hide or I wouldn't have bought it. It comes with the full owners manual kit. You will be amazed at what this car can do. It has seat position memory, exit memory etc. Way too much to list or learn. The supercharge v6 builds 240hp and around 280 FT LBS or torque. It's a very impressive car on the highway or around town. Other than the oil pressure sending unit this car needs nothing to the very best of my knowledge and I am a mechanically inclined sort of fellow. I'm sure I have left out one thing or another as I am not much of a salesman. The new owner of this car will not be disappointed. That I can promise. As far as shipping this car I will be more than happy to take it to a place to be loaded or be present if the truck comes to my house. Other than that I will leave the shipping costs to figure to the prospective buyer. My zip code is 97701 but I have a friend who owns an Auto repair business which is a commercial lot and may save on shipping to have it picked up there. I'm not totally sure how that works.
In short. This car is stunning and will make someone a very happy person to own and will leave me with one less bill.
This car is financed through Wells Fargo bank so that's where the funds will go to purchase the car. That should make a person feel quiet a bit more comfortable than sending the funds to a total stranger. If you have ANY questions please please email me or call me at 541 280 0398. My name is Clint. Thanks for looking!!!

This classic Firebird restomod swallowed a Prius
Tue, Apr 19 2016It takes an unusual eye to look at a 1967 Pontiac Firebird and see the Toyota Prius hidden inside. But that's just the kind of eye that a creative mechanic known online as "Bill the Engineer" has. Bill is updating his old Firebird into a true classic for the 21st century and has documenting the changes over at Priuschat and EcoModder. The TL,DR version of the story: he's replacing the worn-out powertrain with the gas-electric hybrid one from a Prius V, because it turns out the two vehicles have almost exactly the same wheelbase. Bill, who's from Columbus, Ohio and doesn't want his full name used, said in his posts on the conversion project that he's made many memories with this vehicle since buying it back in 1979. Since then, a few moves, a few decades, and some time in storage meant that the car would no longer function as he wanted it to. As he wrote, "when it comes to mice in the vehicles IT IS WAR." His solution is to make new memories and making a greener vehicle, and so we wanted to ask him how things have been going. Bill's been traveling a bit recently, but told AutoblogGreen that he's now figuring out the next steps for this amazing and complicated project. "I always plan things out before I do them," he said. That's the only way something like this can work. ABG: I think we have to start with what gave you the inspiration for this project. Was it simply that you had the two cars and wanted to see them merged into one cool mashup, or was it something else? "One day my wife wondered out loud if the car could be converted into a hybrid... The rest is history." Bill: I have been the owner of my 1967 Firebird convertible since 1979 when I bought it for $750.00. I drove it for years and made many memories. Afterward it was in storage for many years during which time mice at their way into the car and trashed the interior and wiring. I started working on a conventional restoration but always ran into major problems with hidden corrosion, electrical issues and an engine on its last legs. The car was never going to be as nice as I wanted going the conventional route. One day my wife wondered out loud if the car could be converted into a hybrid like our two daily driver Prii. That got me thinking about how it could be done. The rest is history... ABG: It looks like you started in late 2014. Have things gone well since then, or has it been one hassle after another? What has been the biggest setback, and what were the biggest victories?
Junkyard Gem: 2010 Pontiac Vibe
Wed, Apr 17 2024Just over a month before filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June 2009, General Motors announced that the 83-year-old Pontiac Division would be "phased out" by the end of 2010. Only three Pontiac vehicles were sold as 2010 models in the United States: the Solstice, Vibe and G6 (new G3s were sold here during 2010 but they were all 2009 models, while the G5 was available as a 2010 model only in Canada and Mexico). Today's bit of junkyard automotive history is one of the very last Vibes ever built, found in a yard near Denver, Colorado. This car is significant not just as one of the final vehicles to bear Pontiac badges but also as one of the last cars built by the New United Motor Manufacturing Incorporated GM-Toyota joint venture in California, better known as NUMMI. The NUMMI factory began life as GM's Fremont Assembly, which built its first vehicle (a C-Series pickup) in 1963 and closed in 1982 after building its final vehicle (an Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera). Rebooted as NUMMI, the first 1985 Chevrolet Nova (an Americanized AE82 Toyota Corolla Sprinter) rolled off the line in December of 1984. A quarter-century and better than eight million vehicles hence, NUMMI shut down production after its last Corolla was finished on April 1, 2010. While there was some noise about the Oakland Athletics building a new stadium on the site at the time, Tesla ended up buying most of the site soon after that. Tesla now builds more vehicles per year there than NUMMI ever did. The Vibe was co-developed with Toyota and based on the same platform as the ninth-generation Corolla. The Toyota Matrix was mechanically identical and was built in Canada, while the Japanese-market version (known as the Toyota Voltz) was built on the same NUMMI line as the Vibe and shipped across the Pacific. The Vibe/Matrix/Voltz got a redesign for the 2009 model year, but few noticed due to all the turmoil in the GM world at the time. The final Vibe was built in August 2009. This car was built in July of 2009, just before the end. It was living in West Texas just prior to coming to Colorado. El Paso is about a ten-hour drive from this car's current location. Once in the Centennial State, it got parked somewhere it shouldn't have been and ended up being auctioned to Pick Your Part. An occupant of this Vibe had time to sample some of the local agricultural products before that happened.
Rent the 1967 Pontiac GTO from the XxX films now on Turo
Tue, Jan 10 2017The process of renting a car usually ranges from mildly annoying to "I'm calling corporate to get you fired." Plainly, it sucks, but sometimes you're left with no alternative. Turo, a peer-to-peer carsharing network, has created what's essentially the AirBnB for cars. Like AirBnB, the quality and variety of the rides varies based on location. If you're in Tucson, Ariz., in the next week, go check out this 1967 Pontiac GTO convertible before the release of XxX: The Return of Xander Cage. Promotions and marketing aside, this is still the opportunity to drive one of the original muscle cars. It's not clear if this is an original GTO or a Pontiac Tempest that was converted, but does it really matter? Old cars never drive as well as you hope, so, as long as it looks and sounds awesome, who cares? The owner listed on Turo is Xander C., Vin Diesel's character from the XxX franchise. This is the car that was used in the original 2002 film, and from the photos it appears to be in better shape than many other movie cars. The exterior is mostly stock, with some slight modifications to the lighting, wheels, exhaust, and trim, with the addition of a funky looking hood scoop that the listing claims shoots flames. It's not clear if it functions as an actual intake because there aren't any notes about what rests under the hood. The listing does ask for premium fuel, so more than likely it's some variation of a high-compression V8. Inside, the dashboard looks like someone raided the AutoZone accessory aisle. There are gauges, dials, toggle switches, and readouts galore. The listing also claims the Goat is packing a rocket launcher and a weapons stash under the seat. $999 per day isn't cheap, but it's less than you'd pay for a day with one of the rent-an-exotic shops you see in Los Angeles or New York. If you're not in Tucson or the price is a little too steep, Turo has what it's dubbed the Adrenaline Collection. The name may be hyperbole, but the lineup of cars is actually really solid. A quick glance reveals a 2015 Lamborghini Huracan, 2001 Ferrari 360 Spider, and a 1969 Jaguar E-Type. The car list keeps expanding, so if this proves popular, look for more cool stuff in the future.
