1955 Plymouth Belvedere 2-door sedan. Full custom and way too much to list here. This car is just a blast and turns every head around. Runs high 10's and handles like a slot car. Viper race yellow base/clear paint- laser straight. All MoPar drivetrain. Driven regularly on the street. The skinny is:
Professionally chopped top 3", custom lexan windows on side & rear & new glass windshield, beautiful fiberglass hood and decklid (you would swear they are metal- great work), fiberglass bumpers. The rest of the car is stock, original, rust free metal. This car is one of a kind and some of you might know this Sacremento area, California car. She occasionally raced the Mohave mile, salt flats, among other courses. This Belvedere was professionally built- quality throughout!
The drivetrain is a fresh stroked 360 to 408 cu.in., built right- new forged Mopar crank, Ross forged .030 forged 9.8/1 pistons, Comp Cams solid 301/585 cam, Eagle ESP-H beam rods, Edelbrock RPM aluminum heads, Harland Sharp rockers, Meziere electric water pump, Eddy RPM intake, 8qt Milodon pan, full MSD ignition, 850 AED/Holley Carb, Fluidampr, March pulleys, on & on Dynoed at 500 HP. This thing screams and still idles at 750rpm like a Swiss watch. Aluminum 3-core radiator w/ electric fan.
The same goes for the trans. which is a built 46RE (518) 4-spd overdrive with manual lockup. Manual valve body on TurboAction Cheetah gated shifter, Biondo line lock. She purrs down the freeway 70mph at 1900rpm. and unbelievable 16+ mpg- if you keep your right foot out of it.
The rear is a narrowed 8-3/4 fresh with forged race axles, 3.23 posi; #489 center case, Wilwood disc brakes on all 4 corners, brand new 15" reverse chrome/yellow rims on Firehawk Indy tires 295/50/15 & 235/60/15.
The chassis is Chris Alston front with QA-1 PromaStar coilovers, tubular A-arms, rack/pinion steering; rear is leaf springs w/ QA-1 adj. shocks. Full custom frame & beautiful sheet metal work in trunk, firewall, etc. throughout center and rear.
Interior has custom race dash with full Cyberdyne digital gauges and GPS speedo (I also have the stock dash w/ gauges, steering wheel, pedals, bumpers, grille, etc.) Brand new black carpet & low-back 60's style Scat brand (Summit Racing) bucket seats. Custom tweed door and side panels, full headliner, certified 12 pt. roll cage to 8.50; 5 pt. harnesses, etc.
Other options include an RCI aluminum 35 gal. street rod fuel cell for long cruises and added weight for traction. ALOT of thought and hours went into this one-of-a-kind '55. You could take it racing, drive it to grandma's for dinner or hit the Power Tour- it doesn't matter! You'll also get the $37000+ in receipts along with the car too

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars
Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
