1973 Plymouth Satelite Sebring Plus on 2040-cars
Londonderry, New Hampshire, United States
You are bidding on a 1973 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus- Rallye package. This unique mopar has everything you would want in the top of the line Plymouth of its day. Still has her strong 400 big block 4 barrel motor and auto transmission she was born with. This is NOT your grandmother's Satellite. As we all know- 1973 was the end of an era for muscle cars, as mopar lovers- we all love the roadrunners but the Satellite was at the top of the food chain and this one was no exception. Whoever ordered this car wanted it all - including:
- 400 Big Block (Numbers Matching) - 4 Barrel Carb - Rallye Guages (with Tach of course) - Rallye Rims - Automatic shifter on the Floor - Console car! (NOT Column shift) - Bucket high back seats - Dual Exhaust - Bright white (new interior) - ALL BRAND NEW SUSPENSION- All the way around the car! including disc brakes see photos - Fiberglass Rallye hood (Originally came with Rallye hood but this one is aftermarket) - Brand new Red paint (Originally red and has been color matched beautifully) - Hood pins - Good tires - Motor runs great and the dual exhaust sounds great - Shifts nicely - All glass is in good shape - Brand new carpet - Too much to list... PLEASE NOTE: This car comes with an over the roof and down both sides- strobe decal. The paint shop has not installed it as of yet but will be installed by auction end- unless the auction ends early and the buyer does not want it installed. It is the last piece to complete this gorgeous build. - Also, The motor runs so good we have not rebuilt it. The previous owner put an aftermarket air cleaner on it but otherwise looks pretty stock. - The frame rails and the overall car is in great/sturdy and solid shape. There was bodywork done to the lower portions of the quarters and doors. The work turned out beautiful and anyone would be proud to own. Progress of build photos are available upon request. LOTS of money spent building this car for someone to drive for years to come. We will be adding more and more photos as weather permits. Car is located in Derry, New Hampshire- waiting for its new owner.
The Satellite Sebring Plus is due to skyrocket on the heals of the Roadrunner/GTX/Charger craze that is currently happening for the 71-73 years. Buy this car for CHEAP while you can and enjoy your driving your investment while you watch the prices rise. This car is ready to go to its new home- text email ebay or call to discuss and for more info/pics 6I7-459-8561 *Please ask your questions prior to bidding- Good luck! |

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars
Wed, 30 Jul 2014The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]
Mon, 16 Jun 2014
We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars
Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.
