1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus Original Survivor 93k Miles Rare Sun Roof C on 2040-cars
Omaha, Nebraska, United States
Up for auction today I have an original 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus 2 door sport coupe. 93,000 original miles. Original FC7 Plum Crazy! Original Sun Roof car. Original fender tag and build sheet! All options coded on it! Needs full restoration, but is one heck of a nice start. Found literally in a barn a few years back! Very Complete and worth restoring. I will not part it out. Bid to own the whole car. Bucket seat car. Has the Buddy seat option but will not be included in the sale. Needs seat covers front and back. Needs carpet and the lower door panels. Upper door panels look good. Original sunroof head liner, needs redone. Can hear the motor run but some fool welded it up! Shouldn't be tough to open it back up as you can see the weld up in the open headliner where the slider once was. Dash very nice with one crack. Air Conditioned car but most components gone. White and black interior. Rebuilt (a while back) 318 Engine but leaks and drips oil. Transmission should be gone thru. Does run and drive. I drove it 60 miles no problems. Starts stops and goes. Last owner put 9000 miles on it over 2 years ownership. Has an electric fuel pump mounted on the rear frame rail. As far as the body it is way above average. See photos. No surprises under that factory paint. Needs lower rear quarters. Trunk perfect. Frame rails perfect. Needs patch panel on lower fender. Passenger side lower fender is scraped and mildly dented. Also needs drivers side floor pan. Typical Sunroof car. Has a panel welded in there now. The front grill and lower valance are in excellent condition. I have most of the chrome that's off in the pictures. These cars in original condition are getting more and more difficult to find. This is the first year for this body style. I bought the car to restore with my son but have since found a factory 4 speed Mopar. So we need the funds from this to finance it. The car is sold as is. I try to describe my car as accurately as possible. Look over the pics and my description and bid bid bid! Negative or 0 feed back Ebay members need to contact me PRIOR to bidding or I will cancel your bid. Im located in Omaha Nebraska. A short distance off I 80. Any questions please call me any time! Bernie 402 659 1118 Thanks and good luck!

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]
Mon, 16 Jun 2014
We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars
Wed, 30 Jul 2014The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars
Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.
