NO RESERVE AUCTION !!! and also Chryslers at CARLISLE, PA delivery is available. Up for grabs is a recently found after sitting for decades, 1970 Plymouth Sport Satellite. This car is a true BARN FIND, well actually a concrete floor Garage Find because it wasnt a barn, that has been kept under cover and out of sight for the past couple decades. This car comes from a private collection that is slowly being sold off and bought up by collectors. I made sure to take pictures as she was found and others after she got a nice bath and cleaned up a bit. This car is an original 318 small block Yellow car that was painted B5 blue in later years. The previous owner gave gave me the story of how it became a big block car. He had a 68 Road Runner that was rusted out and too far gone back in the 1980's, so he took the 1968 four barrell 383, and BB Automatic 727 and installed them into the solid body of the Satellite. The original Satellite rear was retained because he said that he liked the 3.23 gear ratio and how well it cruised without overrevving the engine on a long trip. Overall this car is extremely solid and has very little rust or corrosion that a normal east coast Mopar will have. Especially a B body mopar. The lower quarters were repaired years ago and it really looks to be the only spot that was ever an issue. The frame rails and floor pans in the car are Fantastic but please keep in mind that the car is over 40 years old. It aint new. The trunk floor is solid as well other than one hole that was covered near the rear about the size of an apple. I recently had the Holley 650 carb rebuilt and it runs like a dream and it holds GREAT oil pressure. The 68 383 engine was Rebuilt around the early 1990's before the car was parked. The 727 Transmission shifts great with i having a mild stall convertor and the manual brakes work great as well. I took a picture of all the gauges while the car was running and you can see that ALL of them work and it reallly shows that the car idles well, holds Great oil pressure, the fuel gauge works, its charging, and all while its at a decent operating temperature. The car does have power steering, but no a/c and no power brakes. It does have a great sounding exhaust with headers and an aluminum intake. All glass is in good shape and the interior is very good as well. This is a great cruising car to be enjoyed by spinning tires and driven like a muscle car should. This car is in NO way a show car or trailer queen. I am giving all who are interested a chance to own a rare and desireable piece of history. Most collectors have overlooked the Plymouth Satellite for years due to the Road Runner being the top seller, but not any more, with the prices of RR's topping $30,000 and $40,000 restored, the Satellite has gotten alot more attention now in the driver car category. Just to be fair i am going to start the opening bid at a crazy cheap price. If anyone is interested in me delivering this car to Carlisle, PA for the Chryslers at Carlisle swap meet and show, just email me and we can arrange it from that. I am only going to be there on Friday evening the 12th and Saturday the 13th. I am NOT shipping this car overseas and i DO NOT want any interational bidding. Good luck bidding on a rare Mopar.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars
Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
