Up for auction is a True 1974 Plymouth Roadrunner. This is a RUST FREE Arizona car and would make a great project car. Original door sticker, fender tag and clear title included. Originally a 318, Automatic car, however both engine and transmission are gone. The car does have a 9 1/4 Posi rear end and has the larger 11" brakes. The previous owner was planning to build the car for Salt Flat racing and as such did begin to do some suspension work as well as body modifications. The wheelwells have all been trimmed but the removed sections are in one piece and included with the sale, so repairing this is no problem. As mentioned above, This is an absolutely rust free car, however given that the drivers side fender does have dents as does the upper valance, I will include very nice original replacements as pictured. The deck lid does have some small screw holes from a previously installed spoiler and the lock area has been damaged, again I will include a spare deck lid as pictured if you prefer to replace rather than repair. Lastly, it appears as though someone moved the car by pulling on the lower core support so I have included a replacement lower core to fix this. The interior has been mostly disassembled but most everything necessary for reassembly is included. This was originally a bucket seat, column shift car but I have included the necessary components to convert it to a floor shift car including brackets, linkage, and shifter should you choose to convert it. There are some indications that someone tried to install some sort of floor shifter at one time but again, easily repairable. The plastic peices for the interior are mostly useless as they are either faded or speaker holes have been cut but the upper door panels are actually pretty decent. I may have some spare driver quality plastics laying around but will have to confirm This is a Non A/C car but I do have some of the items to convert it which can be purchased seperately.
I originally purchased this car with another car in an attempt to save it from being parted out and as such have no desire to see it parted. This would be an AWESOME project car but I have two other Roadrunners and really don't need another. This car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early in the event of local sale. There may be additional parts beyond what is pictured available for purchase with the car or even be included with the sale of the car, but I will have to continue to dig through my parts to determine what those items may be.
Vehicle must be picked up within two weeks of auction close unless prior arrangements have been made. I am happy to assist a shipping company with pick up or alternatively may be willing to deliver depending on location for an additional fee. If you have any questions, Please feel free to ask. I'll be more than happy to help. Good Luck!

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars
Wed, 30 Jul 2014The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]
Mon, 16 Jun 2014
We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
