Here is your opportunity to own a rare Mopar 1971 Roadrunner 340 factory H-Code automatic rare car 1 of only 1243 built in 1971 probably less than 50 still exist. In 1971 the Roadrunner came standard with a 383 engine the 340, 440, 426 Hemi were options. This is a real RM23H Roadrunner with 340 motor non matching 72 block, J heads, Edelbrock intake, Eldelbrock carb, Headers, motor was rebuilt not sure of miles. 727 HD slapstik automatic, 3:55 posi rear end, factory front disk brakes, power steering.
Interior is in good condition with new legendary seat upholstry front and back, new headliner, factory console, factory radio, 150 MPH speedometer, original color was light gold it was repainted lemon yellow probably 20 years ago all the body panels look original looks like bottoms of rear quarters were patched years ago when it was repainted.
The car is documented by the vin, fender tag, door sticker. Car looks presentable as is you can drive it to car shows or cruise nights its not a perfect show car, sounds nice with newer dual exhaust, new front brakes, has been inside storage since 2008, just had brand new Edelbrock Performer carburetor done also new Accel wires, good BFG radial tires with factory rally wheels. The doors open and close smoothly, original Beep Beep horn and door buzzer work, odometer shows 94,304 but is being sold as true mileage unknown, paint still looks good for being 20 years old not perfect some of the body work is starting to show on the rear quarters and some small rust bubbles near passengers door as shown. Floors look original some rust on the drivers side front. US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson.
