1971 road runner 440, 727 torqueflite transmission.  TF is fully rebuilt, bands, torque converter, filter, fluids. This car would be a 1 contender at any car show with a professional exterior re spray. I like to Emphasize  paint condition first in my listing, when not sell a 1# paint condition car. .  It is hard as a classic car dealer to rate a paint job when it is not perfect. It's easy to say something is perfect,  but when its not, its hard to describe  Imperfections, when its not Obvious In the listing photos. Even on a car that most owner's or even some dealers  would say is perfect,  imperfection can Usually  still be found. Everyone's perception is different, especially when it comes to paint Quality and condition.  Body work is straight and solid, in my Opinion. Car is very straight and very Minimal bondo, if none. Paint, looks like new,  even  a couple of feet away.  The clear coat  seems to be heavy in a few random spots around car Faintly streaking,  but is fant until up on it. I have not tried any kind of wet sanding methods are any kind of paint work to see if can be removed. In my Opinion, it's there.  I would ether reach for perfection and pay for a new spray job, same factory color. No jams, trunk, eng compartment or body work needed. $3,000-4000, by Any reputable paint shop.  If Looking for perfection.

" cosmetic only."

But really as seen in my videos and pictures, this road runner is awesome and Unique.  Best of all, a daily driver with an Acceptable paint job with a few Faint Paint blemishes.  Which means nothing, Compared to not being able to drive your car and enjoy it,  because the paint is perfect and very expensive. .  Lol.

Car was a factory 4speed, 383 Satellite. This is A turn key driver, that runs strong shifts smoothly with no shaking or shuttering at the wheel. Great power and  a Awesome distinct sound. The 440 has been rebuilt and a full gasket kit , along with  transmission and a deep fluid pan. Factory Mopar sure grip 8 3/4 rear end .  Black interior, Beautiful front bucket seats, back Seats are in like new shape along with headliner, carpet, door panels and new dash cap. Interior is complete and original matching condition. Lighting works, speedo is in tact but In-op. Very Straight and clean bodywork. Body lines match up and doors, trunk and hood open and shut smoothly. Car has had an Extensive paint job years Prior.  Paint job itself is nice but does have some Faint streaking in or under clear coat in random spots streaking.  Color appears to be a stock color for 71, Sherwood green. Engine Compartment is painted to match, showroom clean, frame rails, front and rear fender wells are painted to match, door jams and trunk. Front lower air dam is also completely paint and Is in like new condition. Front bumper and rear bumper are painted to match and like new,  front grill is also in the same condition. This road runner clone is very, very solid. No Obvious rust repairs in the rear quarters or underneath, also no undercoating, is painted body color. . Floor pans are perfect, new gas tank and fuel lines. New dual exhaust, custom AR  rims and tires.  . Rear exhaust tips are original and cool. Trunk is rust free and in near perfect shape. I thought about bring this car back to its original 4 speed, as it was from the factory,  but this 727 torqueflite is fresh, new torque converter.   transmission shifts tight and smooth, is in proper working order( like new condition). Adding a 4 speed Could be something done in the future and paint that would only add additional value. Original factory 4 speed cut out  is not welded closed, but in perfect shape  covered by the carpet and padding. ( as seen in pictures. ). I will mention again how solid this car is on the exterior, interior and undercarriage and the time that went in to all the extra painting. When I had on my lift doing  inspection's,  it looks as if  they took the hole Shell of the car,  Spun it Rotisserie like and sprayed the hole thing Sherwood green. Really does look good.  Dinner table clean. With exception of moving car around, car looks like it has very few miles. It is obvious that the previous owner Was meticulous and had some   "Pride of ownership".    I Have taken additional photos and videos of undercarriage, body/paint, starting and driving vehicle, to help you in making a clear buying Decision. Thank you for your time.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
