Sorry, I had to end the listing today because the photos would not load. Hopefully its working now.

1968 Hemi Runner, I've been wanting to restore this car for a long time but don't think I'll get to it. I bought it around 1990 from a fellow who had it for a year or so. He found it disassembled, resting in a garage in Redford, Michigan. We went to see the car and when the fellow opened the door, all you could see was tools, equipment and roofing materials, car was nowhere in sight, after they moved all the stuff, there she was all apart, lying on her left side with the roof against the wall! We (with a lot of help) picked up the shell and put on a trailer, then proceeded to load all the boxes of parts. He said it was taken apart in the early 80's.

The floors look nice, trunk has pin holes, left quarter is ugly from a repair, you'll need one unless you know a magician. Glass is nice in the parts car, so is the heater box and dash. Car has been in dry storage for as long as I know of, probably 30 years. Hemi torque boxes are there. Frame looks excellent.

Lots of stuff was missing, no engine, trans, bell, starter, interior, and seats were trash! so over the past 20 plus years I kept buying parts at the meets. I have so many parts included with this car its hard to list and photograph everything. I'm can take photos of anything you want to see.

I recommend coming here to view the car and parts, Detroit Metro airport is only 30 minutes and I'll be happy to pick you up.

New Legendary door/rear panels, carpet, seat covers, then trim parts, wiring harness, extra hood, NOS fender, and a 68 Coronet parts car for trim, seats and heater box.

I found an unmolested std bore Hemi block, (passed Mag), its a good date from another 68 car, got a 18 spline trans , bellhousing  and starter and lots more including front suspension parts, steering, pulleys, intake, rockers, plug tubes, valve covers, cam, lifters, push rods, etc.

I don't have rotating assy, carbs or air cleaner.

An NOS gas tank is included as well as a NOS fan shroud, new sending unit, mounting hardware, etc. I really tried to buy everything needed to restore it, so there are many boxes of new stuff.

The rocker gear was disassembled, rockers have been cleaned, checked the bushings, polished the top rib, new adjusters, and are ready to go.

One head is perfect, one is not. I was gonna get some aluminum stg 5 heads and a stroker kit but you can make you own choices.

I have nearly all NOS trim for the car (plus some doubles) but will sell that stuff separately to the buyer if they want it, if not I'll list it later. I will not sell parts for the car that I've mentioned here, and the NOS stuff wont go until the car is gone.

The hardtop car is pretty rare and probably not too many in bright colors either.

Car is currently in blue primer but you can see the original color QQ1 in several areas.

If you want to buy the car and need a restoration shop, we can build the car for you,  maybe its a consideration, its what we do.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
