1999 Plymouth Chrysler Prowler Highboy With Highboy Trailer on 2040-cars

US $23,999.00
Year:1999 Mileage:107800 Color: paint has some chips and paint flaws in a few places but this car is really fun to drive
Location:

San Antonio, Texas, United States

San Antonio, Texas, United States

The car is a '99 Prowler that is highly modified and customized. It is a 2-Owner car. The original owner ordered it and the Factory Trailer from the same Texas Dealer. A 1-owner Texas car til I bought it. Owner #1 did all the major customizing and had spent a ton on it. Here are some of the particulars:
'99 Prowler, Black top and Yellow bottom and painted single-line pinstripes similar to a Black Tie or Woodward. The car has appx 107800 miles and still runs fine. Normal Oil Pressure, Cooling and Shifting. It has a few oil drips, not much, from a leaking Valve Cover Gasket. It doesn't bother me as I just throw a piece of cardboard under it to catch the drips. The interior shows some wear and the exterior paint has some chips and paint flaws in a few places but this car is really fun to drive. Best of all, this Highboy Prowler is 1 of only 20 made. The Highboy Trailer is a One-Of-A-Kind. Highboy Kits are pretty rare, I have never seen another except in pictures. Everything works, the Wheels are nice and I'd rate them a 8 1/2 out of 10. The Tires on the car are Runflats with about 85% wear left on the Rears and 95% wear remaining on the Fronts. The car and Trailer have both always been garaged.
The Convertible Top has been replaced at some time and has no cuts, wear spots or tears on the outside. It has Prowler-Pro Belanger Headers with no cats but I do have the "Y" Pipe with cats by Prowler Pro that goes with the car when sold (see last pic). It has a Custom Radiator that always runs cool, a Custom Trailer Hitch that is hidden behind the rear fold-up Licence Plate and a TGF Front Turn Signal Replacement Kit (no longer made and very collectible). It has a Prowler Yellow Custom Prowler Steering Wheel, a 300M Shift Knob and some other Interior upgrades. I have done a lot to this car to make EVERYTHING work as it should and in the process, replaced a lot of worn parts. It also has a New Battery, a Door Wider-Opening Kit installed, and Stainless Sill Moldings. I'm sure I have forgotten some of the options added to this unique Prowler. Although it nearly has 108,000 miles on it, that actually works out to less than 7200 miles per year. There still is a LOT of life left in this one.
In my thinking this car would be Perfect as a 2nd Prowler for a Prowler Enthusiast who already owns a Stock Prowler and knows his or her way around one. It has NEVER been in any accidents.
The Outside Mirrors are finicky, sometimes they move left and right, top and bottom and some times they dont. Doesn't bother me, as once they are in position for me, they stay that way.
It also comes with the One-Of-A-Kind Prowler Highboy Ajax Trailer, the one in the pics. The ONLY Highboy Trailer ever made, with 20" Prowler Wheels and Tires and with the same paint scheme as the car. The Car is nick-named "Outlaw" since the headlights are painted black and makes the car look like a bandit. The Trailer is "Outlaw II" but both are decals and can easily be removed. Comes with both Keys and Remotes, a complete Owners Manual and the Prowler CD that you were supposed to get when the car was originally bought. I also will include both Stock Rear Quarter Panels, both Tail Lights and the Rear Body Panel that can be used to convert the Car back to Stock, should the new owner want to (see next-to-last-pic). This is nearly $2500.00 alone, in extra parts!
Just keep in mind that this car is very Fun, Fast and Reliable and if you think you attracted a lot of attention in your Stock Prowler, be ready to REALLY attract attention in this one. The annual Texas car safety inspection was done recently and it passed with NO problems. Both Car and Trailer have lien-free Texas Titles and up to date Registrations and License Plates.
Selling the car and trailer as a package, for the one bid price.
Please keep in mind that this car is NOT a Garage Queen but a fun driver. I would suggest any potential Buyer come and look it over or have your representative look at it for you before you bid. If you are married, be sure your Wife is OK with it before you bid..
I have a few extras I may throw in on the deal too.  This is as inexpensive a Prowler and Prowler Trailer you will EVER find!
Any questions please feel free to call me at 210-415-8707.
Local pick up is preferred and I will not ship for you. But, you make the arrangements and I'll help get it set to travel and make it available for pick up.
And of course, there is no Warranty, both are sold AS-IS. Thanks for looking.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
