For Sale is my latest project. A TRUE RS23 Plymouth GTX. I just can't finish it due to health issues with my back and hip and believe me I wouldn't sell this behicle as the GTX is my all time favorite of the Mopar products.
Not many of these GTX's were manufactured compared to the Roadrunners. The GTX was built as a bit higher quality vehicle. I purchased this GTX and did quite a bit of body work on it before injuring my back. The body work is done although I personally would spend a bit more time to make sure the body panels and gaps lined up perfectly but I can't do it at the moment. Great thing about this GTX is you can paint it in any color you like since it is in primer. NOTE: I ONLY INCLUDED 4 PICTURES OF THIS CAR IN THE LISTING.IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE ADDITIONAL PICS PLEASE CONTACT ME & I WILL SEND THEM TO YOU AND INCLUDE MY PHONE NUMBER IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS THE VEHICLE. The fender data tag reads as follows from the top down. Line 1:) 15141 188972 Line 2:) 115 056 670 Line 3:) C16 Line 4:) FF4 V21 Line 5:) FF4 P6F8 EF8 109 Line 6:) E86 D32 RS23 U0A 189370 Brief Description: Paperwork available which is previous vehicle registrations in Connecticut N.O.M., Presently has a 383, 4 barrel carburetor, Bucket seats and console (Drivers seat needs lower seat cover and foam), 727 Torqueflite transmission, Aftermarket stereo, Car Odometer shows 72,952 miles. Dash is in good shape and not split or busted up. Glove box even works like a champ as well as the console door. I am selling this car for less money than I paid for it not to mention the cost of the new panels, body panel work I did and my labor so you are getting this car for a lot less than half of what I have invested in it. NOTE: I do have other Mopars so I have a cash of spare parts the buyer could look thru and possibly purchase if they wanted to |

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars
Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars
Wed, 30 Jul 2014The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
