1975 Plymouth Scamp 2-Door Hardtop Coupe

This mustard yellow Scamp was purchased on September 8, 1975 at the San Mateo, California Chrysler-Plymouth dealer and spent all it's life in the Bay Area (Northern California.) The car was previously owned by an older gentlemen who quit driving a long while ago. The car is almost completely in original condition and already California SMOG exempt. Maintenance is all up to date, including new brakes and new tires about 2k miles ago. Engine is running smooth and the transmission is functioning. Recently, a small scratch on the left bottom quarter panel was repainted and the body shop owner believes that the car still has original factory paint. The vinyl top was just replaced with the original factory color. There are some typical small dings like one on the hood but nothing major or visible. The odometer shows 64,716 miles, everything on the car is original and nothing is missing including all scripts and logos. Bumpers are all in excellent condition, there is absolutely no signs of rust on the body or undercarriage. All windows and lenses are crack free and in excellent condition. Interior is excellent, door panels, carpets etc are all original (as seen in pictures.) The car still has the factory radio and it works perfectly. All the gauges and lights are operating well, temperature gauge was just recently replaced as well. The air conditioning works, however I have not checked it lately. In general, it is hard to believe that this car is almost 40 years old. All original factory manuals and brochures are included. Please be informed that I tried to the best of my knowledge to describe the car correctly and honestly, however I stick to my policy of offering this car based on an as is condition. So please read the description carefully and see all pictures as well as ask any questions you may have before bidding as I am happy to answer them. Car is all original but I do have an extra set of after market rims and tires which are included in the sale. Car holds a clean California title under my name.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
