1988 GRAN FURY Unmarked POLICE CAR :

Very Very Clean Original GRAN FURY Undercover Police Car - 318 Motor, 80K+ Miles.

Salon Package Interior in Very Very Good Shape, w Velour Split Bench w Arm Rest, Carpet.
NO RIPS IN SEATS, Dash, Door Panels and Interior Trim are in great shape, and NO CRACKS IN DASH.

All Exterior Trim and Chrome is present and in Very Good Condition. Front Grill is in great shape too.

The car has the Original Whip Antenna and Wig Wag Lights in back - working but disconnected per ebay rules.
Plus the Original Motorola Hand Set and Radio - currently not working, and not sure if it can, never tried to sort it out.
( Tape Deck actually works too, but is terrible sound quality as you can imagine. )

I picked up the car from Massachusetts about 2 years ago.
I have since installed new Shocks, NEW Mopar Electronic Ignition and Coil, Battery, plus had the Carb Professionally Rebuilt.
The car also has BRAND NEW BF Goodrich TA's on it all around.
The car is turn key as is, motor is solid and runs Great, the only thing it will need eventually is new exhaust and leaf springs.

The car has been repainted once and is pretty straight and rust free body wise, no major rust at all showing through the paint.
The only real body issue at all is that it looks to have been tapped in the drivers rear corner once and fixed - as seen in pics - but not too well.
It's totally fine as is for a driver, and a pretty easy fix if you are going to repaint it.

I have had my fun with it but new projects demand that I thin the herd a little now...so it's time to pass it on.
This is a RARE MOPAR police car in GREAT shape for it's age, and I hope it goes to another good home.
It is a great driver as is, or a PERFECT start for a restoration,
a little bodywork and new paint and it would be an OUTSTANDING show car.
This is also by far one of the Best Colors Chrysler ever produced for an Unmarked Police Car.

I paid $2500. plus transport, and am offering the car at - NO RESERVE - starting at the price I paid for it,
not including all the extra parts, labor, $500 worth of tires, and time I have into it.
I believe the car is worth WAY more than it's offering price,
and I am interested in letting the market and final bidder decided it's current value.

Smart concise questions are welcome and encouraged prior to bidding or purchase,
PLEASE do not bid if you are not SERIOUS, with funds available and ready to go.
50% deposit due 48 hours from end of auction, with full payment due within 7 days of purchase.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
