76 Plymouth Duster Factory 4 Speed car!! This car is ready to be enjoyed and has been driven regularly. Currently is licensed, inspected and insured and I have its clear Texas title. This Duster has the super rare combination special order 6 cyl 4 speed car according to the fender tag. Original color was Tan and it was repainted burgundy several years ago. The floors, trunk, fire wall are very solid with no rust. There is some rust on both trunk extensions and a little on the spare tire well 2" x 1" in size.Paint on the Duster looks nice but is not a show quality paint. Interior has new front seats from a unknown donor car and back seats are good original seats. Needs a dash pad and radio. It has now a dash cover on it. Please see pictures and if you want to convert to V8 it should be a fairly easy swap. It is running on a fuel cell now however it has its original fuel tank. The car runs strong and is very dependable also it is a good candidate for a Hot Rod because it has not brakes booster no power steering and no A/C. Car is priced accordlly and remember it is a complete, running 4 speed mopar investment that is very affordable and that can be used many years and still make a profit on resale. Thank you for looking. Winner responsible for shipping. I will help on loading. Inspections are welcomed. Deposit for $300.00 48 hours after auction ends via Paypal. Balance 7 days by bank wire transfer or cash in person. Good luck.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars
Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.
