My name is Michael and this is my 1973 Gold Duster! I am not the original owner I have had the car for 2 and 1/2 years and only drivin it a couple times. The body is in good condition only a couple dings here and there, the body has been repainted by the previous owner but unfortunitally some jerk keyed it right after being painted. I have the stock hubcaps for it even though it has rally rims on it currently. The tires are brand new , and I have a warranty for them for 4 more years. The tourqe converter needs a new seal, but other than those few minor things the car runs and sounds great! You should hear this baby when it starts, it rattles my windows and scares the crap out of my wife.  It has custom exaughst and side pipes, a brand new 4 barrel edelbrock carb and new shocks in the back. The car is in very good condition and somthing you will NEVER regret adding to your family!! For a 1973 there is very little rust, which is hard to find these days. The previous owner had the car for a very long time and put alot of hard work and of course love into the car. He had a very hard time letting go of it, but needed the money when I fell in love with it and made him an offer. I am only getting rid of it because I dont have the money to put into it like I wanted to when I bought it. Im hoping  it will go to a great home with someone that loves mopar like I do.  The pictures that show a date were all taken 1-1-2013. I havent changed the date on my camera so the date is incorrect. The vinyl headliner interior needs to be replaced. Its not very expensive for the part. The car was purchased as is besides the extra work i put into it. I have the original receipts that was done to it before i purchased it. I have the original car manual and the decals for the body. THE TIRES ARE FIXED AND DRIVEABLE:-]  LOCAL PICKUP ONLY, SHIPPING NOT AVAILABLE......SELLING AS IS.  Its a beautiful car and fits the attitude of any mopar fan!!! LAST TIME TO BE RELISTED FOR AWHILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
