Please only bid if you are committed to the purchase. No zero feedback bids unless I am contacted first. I will only accept wire transfer or cash in person. I will not allow re-negotiations after the sale. Winning bid is what is expected. Wire transfer fee is buyers responsibility so factor that in when you pay for the car. If you have any negative feedbacks within 30 days on a purchase, do not bid. Car is 42 years old so I do not offer any warranty and is sold in as is where is condition. There should be no disappointments with it at my reserve. If you expect a show car or a trailer queen this is not the car for you. Shipping is buyers expense. There will be a video of the car on my youtube channel shortly at www.youtube.com/radrodsbycarrero 2 VIDEOS OF WALK AROUND OR TRY THESE LINKS: http://youtu.be/WUKHjnfcl2o http://youtu.be/Z-DPpd_d_98
1972 Plymouth Duster. Car body is very straight. The doors, hood and trunk open & close like new. The car was purchased as seen by me. I did not build it and only letting it go due to a current space issue. The car looks very nice and for older paint shines very nice as well. Expect a car that has been driven so yes there are nicks. Has updated hood 440 stripes. Power brakes, 440 motor- not sure of the year, has front motor plates and a 727 trans. 8/ 3 /4 rear with 411's. Car was aggressive at one point in its life. Has frame tied, did have a more aggressive trans that was toned down for street use- done this year. Motor has Edelbrock intake and carb. The electronic choke on carb is tired- 90 bucks on ebay if you want to change it. Had a fuel cell, original tank was installed. All gauges work even the door buzzer and dome light. Will need new wipers- does not get driven on rain days or very much at all in fact now. I just replaced the oil, belts, hoses, thermostat, plugs, wires. Has electric fan on a lighted switch- runs about 185 regular. The car has two areas beginning to blister same spot both sides. I took a picture of them- not bad and I would not be embarrassed to go to cruise night with this car as is. All lights & turns signals work properly. Not being sold as a show car but an on going project muscle car. The pictures are current paper work is in my wife's name. Yes the wife. We agreed to sell her car for I bought her a 47 coupe she loves more. N.Y. state has transferrable registrations for cars of this year. That is the title and is free and clear of liens & ready to go. The torque boxes are really nice no issues. Has disc brakes conversion up front and still has the line lock switch as well. Ratchet shifter lock out reverse. Neither she nor I ever drag raced the car so don't ask for horse power dyno or time slip information. My wife drives this to and from work right down the road or the occasional cruise local to us. I take it for short scoots for gas. If you're looking for a thruway ride you would need to tone the rear gear ratio down. Just a good old big block Mopar with a low reserve, sold as a on going project or driver with no warranty expressed or implied as is where is. Wire transfer or cash in person only. My feedback speaks for itself- ask any question needed before bidding. Only bid if you have all your answers- never assume anything. Thanks for looking at this ad. God bless |

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars
Wed, 30 Jul 2014The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
