This is a 1970 duster. It started out as a 6 cylinder so that made it a great car to do a 340 clone to. It has a 360 v8 and a 727 auto trans both work as they should. The engine has headers to flowmasters and sounds great. there is a 850 demon carb on top with new chrome air cleaner and valve covers. The interior of the car is all new and is a legendary kit. The seats headiner and carpet along with the door panels were in the kit. The body was done by the previous owner and has a very nice sublime green paint with a steel satin black hood with working scoops. The tires are good, I just repalced the idler arm front shocks added rear air shocks for the rake look I wanted. The gauges all work and I installed a cd player with a pair of 6x9 speakers in the rear deck for a little sound. It still has the drum brakes on all 4 corners.  The car is clean and has won a few awards at the local cruise nights. It is a driver and not a 100 point restroration but is very nice and will be a lot of fun for the next owner.

I tried to add more pictures like of the engine bay but for some reason it's not going through.I will keep trying but the engine bay is fully detailed and looks very nice with the body color inside and the chrome under the hood. I can send them to you if you get me an email if it won't load.

Now for the stuff I have to add: If you don't have the money or need permission from your other half don't place a bid until your sure it's ok. The last 2 auction I ran people won the bid and never paid one guy even called me an hour before the end of the auction and told me his wife took the check book and won't let him buy it. So please have all your ducks in a row thanks and good luck!!

On Sep-26-13 at 09:47:25 PDT, seller added the following information:

Ok so lot's of emails with questions. Over 80 people on the watch list so I hope someone out there is interested in my duster. I dropped the reserve and added a buy it now for anyone who can't wait. Most of the offers I have recived were just a little below my buy it now so come on and grab it before somebody other than you is driving your car around!!!

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
