1972 PLYMOUTH CUDA

1972 PLYMOUTH CUDA! RARELY OPTIONED CAR! AN ORIGINAL B3 PETTY BLUE, 340, FOUR SPEED RALLY CAR CAR WITH FRONT DISC BRAKES! SOLID FRAME RAILS! AN EXCELLENT & AFFORDABLE PLATFORM TO BUILD YOUR DREAM CAR FROM!

NO RESERVE! BID TO WIN IT!

Please share with all of your Facebook friends, tell your friends, neighbors, anyone who loves these E body Mopars! This car is definitely on many bucket lists and this is that rare opportunity where someone will be able to affordably check this one off of that list! So don't let this rare opportunity pass by! Who knows, she could easily be cruising your neighborhood some day!

This Cuda has spent the last three decades, sitting in the middle of a farm out in the deep back woods of Missouri. It was one of those finds that when you finally made it close enough to tell what it was, your adrenaline just takes over. The excitement I felt when I'd first seen it was very overwhelming.

Originally, the Cuda came with the B3 Petty Blue from the factory but at some point (decades ago), someone painted it red. You can still see remnants of the original Petty Blue through out every nook and cranny of the Cuda. On top of having a great paint scheme, the Cuda was also an original 340 four speed car. The Cuda still retains its original four speed pedals and four speed hub but it is lacking the entire drive train. The Cuda also still retains its original front disc setup.

The body of the Cuda does need gone through. However, it does have quite a few solid points. The rear and front frame rails are completely solid. The front cowl and rear sill, both are solid. It is going to need your typical sheet metal work but for someone who is looking for a good foundation and a very nicely optioned car, you can't go wrong with this Cuda. It is an excellent opportunity to buy something affordable and to build at your own pace.

If you are the high bidder, I will gladly assist you with obtaining the parts necessary to build the Cuda. I have a good friend who owns Muscle Cars Inc. All he specializes in is remanufactured sheet metal and trim parts for these old Muscle Cars. He has assured me that he will sell me everything at cost so I will extend that same offer to whoever ends up owning the Cuda. If you're curious about his pricing, you're welcome to call him any time or you can simply check out his website:

Everything that you see within the photos, that is all that I have for the Cuda.

Every day, these E bodies grow more and more difficult to find. So don't miss out on this rare opportunity to own and build an investment grade vehicle at a realistic price. Every day I see plain Jane but desirable vehicles (Challengers, Chargers, GTX's, Camaros, Novas, Chevelles, etc.) that are in the same condition bringing upwards of 10k dollars. All for a vehicle that in the end will only be worth 20-30k dollars. From the research I have done, this car fully restored should bring in the mid 30's. However, I don't see this Cuda bringing anywhere close to 10k in the condition that it is in. I do know this, someone is going to get a magnificent deal so be sure to add it to your watch list! This is the only time it is going up on eBay because I simply just want it gone. Lastly, I do have a clear Missouri title coming back for the Cuda and it is in my name. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call me any time. Good luck and happy bidding!

Thanks,

Shawn

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
