You are checking out a 1974 Plymouth Barracuda that can be driven as you restore it. If you want to be able to use your car while you work on it, this is the car for you. It is a unmolested vehicle except for the firewalls and fenderwells were repainted while the motor and trans were out being rebuilt. It appears to have never had any paint or work done beyond what was done the day it was born. Previous owner had engine and transmission rebuilt approx. 5 years ago. The engine is a 318 but has the 340 air cleaner on it. Engine block # is :2536030-318-10. I am no Mopar expert but it is supposed to be, and appears to be a matching numbers car. The engine runs and sounds great and it shifts nicely. It is equipped with front manual disc brakes, power steering and automatic transmission. This car needs to be restored but is super solid! As you can see in the pictures the original floor pans and frame are in excellent condition. The trunk pan does have some very minor rust through (see pics). It comes with both quarter panel patches and rear valance with exhaust cutouts. Only other rust you might not see in pics is in the bottom corners of the inside of the trunk lid. Tires look to be brand new. Interior has good carpet, console, dash face around gauges, all gauges work!. Seats need recovered, needs headliner, dashpad, rear panels, and I have a set of black used doorpanels but they have speaker holes cut out. This car does not have any stories or surprises. No body work to uncover or previous paintwork to deal with. It needs some straightening out and massaging, but you will be the first to do it. Please look at the pictures carefully and ask any questions you might have. Car also comes with original intake, 2 barrel carb, air cleaner, misc. interior trim and what is left of the original build sheet (see pic). I have attempted to represent the car through description and photos as best as I can. Feel free to call or text 501-337-3792 for more information or pictures. Buyer is responsible for transporting vehicle. Car is for sale locally auction may end due to local sale if the reserve has not been met. Thank you for looking!

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars
Wed, 30 Jul 2014The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
