70 Plymouth Cuda Factory "u" Code 440 Convertible 1 Of 28 & Only Auto W/410 Dana on 2040-cars

This car is for sale only due to the availability of another car I have been looking for and is now available. If that car sells before this one, this car will no longer be for sale. Now about my car I am listing here. This car is a factory original "U" code 1970 440-4bbl Cuda convertible. It is one of 28 automatic 440 4bbl Cuda convertibles made,BS27U0B and of those, the ONLY auto that came ordered with the 4:10 Dana rear. All the rest of the 440 4bbl automatic cars came through the factory with an 8-3/4 rear. 1970 is also the only year for the 440 4bbl convertible,1971 only offered the 440 with the 6 pack option. The car has a warranty replacement block and currently a Hemi 4 speed trans (I do have the original automatic for the car as well as the pedal, and shifter). I have the original broadcast sheet along with original owner paperwork stating the selling dealership, original owner name and when purchased. The car is coded for the following:Wheel opening moldings,15 x 7 rally wheels,yellow exterior, black power top,black hockey stick stripe, black vinyl bucket interior,console automatic, light package, rally dash, tinted glass, rimblow wheel, p/s, p/b, lower rocker moldings, roadlamps, dual exhaust w/chrome tips, dual chrome racing mirror. The shaker hood and luggage rack have been added and are not original to the car ( I do have a 70 rally hood to go with the car). The body looks good and is a great car to go to local car shows and cruise nights with, but the body and paint are from the 70's. It appears to have been hit in the front at some point as the inner fenders were replaced with NOS ones and the fire wall appears to have some bondo work done to it on the passenger side around the blower motor area. The doors and trunk lid are nice and rust free, but quarters and extensions have had work done to them as well as the trunk floor. The grill, all the tinted glass and molding on this car, as well as the top frame and convertible specific parts and in very nice condition. I'm am sure I have left out things and a phone call with any concerns would be best to discuss any questions you have before bidding. The car is available to be seen, it is in my garage. 'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars
Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
