For sale is a 1970 rare find Plymouth Barracuda with an original clear title, still factory attached Original Vin Tag, all glass and full interior, the Cuda is in good shape considering this is a 1970 model. Prior to us purchasing, the Cuda was a one owner car that was covered, elevated on jack stands and kept on a concrete pad to help preserve until it's next happy motoring phase. This is a factory AC car that came with the 318V8 Auto Trans Option. The original transmission is still in the Cuda but the engine was pulled by the original owner do to the block freezing and cracking. The frame rails are solid with no rust through spots; the doors still shut like new and overall a very solid 1970 Cuda. We recommend replacing the Driver/Driver side Rear Floor Pans, Rear trunk Pan, Lower Rear Quarter Panels and upgrading the rear differential depending on your engine combination. The front grill is usable and in good shape overall but has a few fins missing in the hood release area. Due to a small tree branch falling on the roof during storage at the original owner’s home; we noticed there are three small dents on the roof area that can be easily knocked out with the removal of the interior headliner. The Cuda can be brought back to life with some dedicated but minimum TLC. We were planning a full custom restoration to convert this rare find to a Hemi Engine Based Resto Ride. Here is your chance to either bring the Cuda back to its original state or modify to your heart’s desire. Upon wining the bid and you would like a turnkey Cuda, our Custom Hotrod Shop Team is excited and motivated to build the Cuda any way you like for an additional cost but excellent price. So let’s make your dream come true, read my feedback and bid with confidence. Give us a call 301-712-1286 and ask for AL. Pickup and delivery service available upon request for a fee. Thanks for your time and we look forward to doing business with you.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars
Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars
Wed, 30 Jul 2014The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]
Mon, 16 Jun 2014
We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
