Monterey Park, California, United States

Hi you are bidding on a1969 Road Runner, let me start by saying this is truly a example of what a well maintained automobile looks and drives like. This is a numbers matching 383 4V hp, 4 speed Road Runner with less then 2,000 miles on the whole drivetrain as  I have shown in the pictures and receipts, this Road Runner runs extremely great, it has been upgraded professionally with power steering and front disc brakes as I have shown in pictures, the 2nd owner wanted it to be a little more comfortable, in the past 2 years this Road Runner has gone through a expensive and professional overhaul, for instance if you live in Boston and won the auction and decided to take a flight to Los Angeles and drive the Road Runner back home drive it for a  couple years and sell it to someone in Los Angeles and let them drive it back home I wouldn't see a problem with this Road Runner making it!  It also has  new Coker red line tires, the suspension has also been redone as  shown in the receipts, I can't tell you enough how reliable and awesome this ROAD RUNNER  runs and drives ! One of my personal favorite cars that I have had the privilege to sell! Besides all the receipts this car also comes with the original sales contract and  receipts of purchase from a local chrysler dealer here in Alhambra California in 1971, the dealership is no longer there. It has the 2nd paint job on it done way back in the 80's shines but has some faded spots here and there, the body is straight has some minor dings nothing serious. This automobile comes with all of it's original body panels none ever was replaced, the floors are also original and rust free, keep in mind this car was always garaged kept, and in California it's whole life. The interior is mostly original except for the inserts have been redone with velour very easy and low cost to correct, I just decided to leave the car the way the owner left it to show its original minor wear and tear, although the drivetrain has less then 2,000 miles on it the whole car only has 160,000 miles  This Road Runner come with all the receipts documents original radio and special car cover.   This car is being sold with the understanding that the high bidder is financially prepared to go forward with the purchase of this vehicle. If you have any questions please call me at (818) 879 3764 ask for David i have the right to end this auction at any time thank you and happy bidding.    BEEP ! BEEP !

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
