Offered  is a restored 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Fastback.  Not a Formula S but has ALL the Formula S options.  Exterior is shining deep Wine Red, factory original, color. 9 coats of base, color and clear coats.  Extra care taken in refinishing this car.  Black 69 and 67 type striping installed (always like both styles).  Interior is from Legendary Interior - a Mopar replacement business. Seats and door panels are wine red, headliner (original and in great condition), carpet (new), sun visors (originals), seat belts (originals) are black.  Dash top and pad are factory original and just like new - NO cracks or marks of any kind.  Dash cover is wine red.  Instrument panel is brand new with shining chrome and ALL working gauges and functions.  Radio is factory original upgraded AM type.  It is a factory original A/C car, with fully functional system - will freeze one out on high.  Had new vacuum control unit installed as old one had crack in body.  EVERYTHING works.  Front end rebuilt, new ball joints, pitman arm, etc. Disc brakes and rear drums all rebuilt, new mater cylinder installed.  Wheels are Cragar 08/61 S/S's, 14 X 6 with the small (5 on 4") bolt pattern.  Drive train completed checked/replaced.  Original had a small differential (7.25 ring/pinion) now has a 8 3/4 with matched/balanced drive shaft.  Motor is the factory original 273 High Performance, with factory original valve covers and manifold.  Completely rebuilt with EGGE high dome pistons, new rods and everything inside.  Converted to hydraulic lifters from the mechanical ones.  New cam to match rest of motor rebuild - similar specs to 340 hipo motors.  Completely new bumpers and bumper guards, all new front and rear chrome/aluminum trim pieces.  New front and rear windshield/window gaskets (these are a one year style only).  New front windshield, factory original rear window.  Front grilles are complete refurbished units, tail light assemblies and lenses are new repo units.  Tail panel is newly refurbished, using factory argent silver paint.  Tires are BFG double redline radials, 205/70X14, two extra tires go with sale.  Has new aluminum Champion radiator in place - useful in the Texas heat.  Reason for sale - looking to buy and rebuild something else.  Buyer pays, plans any shipping arrangements. 'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. '71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
