                                      1966 Plymouth Barracuda Fast Back

Here up for sale is a 1966 Plymouth Barracuda set for Street or Strip my plan was to drive it on the street and take it to the track 1 or 2 times a month for some fun This was a running driving car before the rebuild. But it needed to be updated

Im 60 years old been building hot rods and drag cars for over 40 years with all my health issues I must sell or trade for another Hot Rod . I just had my fourth back surgery and I can no longer work on them like I use to any longer . I am very very discouraged that I can not finish this car this is a great start on a great Mopar

Many systems on this car have been updated . I have a stack of receipt 4” high.

Body work and new paint fresh was completed 6/26/2014 Looks great I do have the "M" for the hood .This is not a 100 point show type paint job Floors Trunk Frame is 100% quality no rust . Sub Frame connectors are completed. I wanted a driver not a trailer queen  If you want to enter local car shows or cruise night bring it to the track its a winner all day long. The car should easy run 11.20s to 11.60s. May be better I think the car looks like it was suppose to. I was going after the 1960s Super Stock Look.

This car could be ready for the street and track in little time but this all depends on your knowledge and experience working on Hot Rods. You can still make this car your own and give it your personal touch clear title in hand

If you have any questions you can either contact me through E-Bay or if more comfortable for you give me a call at 331-642-4608  any time before 9pm cst

I am trying to be as honest and thorough as possible describing this vehicle. I may have left something out by mistake so please ask questions. I want you to be 100 % happy with your purchase

If you need to ask permission to purchase this vehicle please do so before you commit . Where I come from a mans word is gold and a hand shake is a deal

For out of state buyers I do have a Auto transportation company that will deliver this car to your door they are very reliable with good rates. With gas prices and a busy life style this is the way to go

I will sell out of the country and do have contacts for container port to port shipping .

Thank You for viewing and good luck to you

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
