Thank you for looking.  I have for sale a beautiful 1966 Plymouth Satellite which will stand out in any crowd....

What's so impressive about this car is the body.  It's laser straight and gets attention everywhere it goes!!!!   You're not looking at some over restored trailer queen, this car is exceptionally clean - top to bottom.   This beauty is wearing its original rust free panels and the body lines are as crisp as they come.   I believe the paint job on this car was done in the early 1990s and could easily pass as a recent respray.  The paint is deep and always has that wet look to it.  You're probably thinking that just about any car will look good when it's posted on the web.  While that may be true for some ads, the pictures and video in this ad are not altered and tell the real story.  This is one of the straightest cars you will see - bar none.  The interior was redone over the last seven years.  Seat covers, seat foam, carpet, headliner and door panels all new from Legendary Interior.  The gauges and dash bezel were the last two items in the interior to be refinished and they are absolutely perfect.  Everything on the interior works as it should. The factory AM has been upgraded to an AM/FM unit, but it still retains its stock appearance.  The front and rear bumpers have both been replated and look terrific.

Under the hood is a 440 block with a Carter 650 carb and factory HP exhaust manifolds to keep with the stock appearance and the 4 speed transmission helps give the car some extra attitude.  The rear has 3.55 gears w/sure grip. The exhaust is all stainless and done right - H pipe and Magnaflow mufflers.

The chrome wheels and white wall tires do a nice job of complimenting the black paint.  I have the original set of steel rims and hub caps that will go with the car.

The car runs and drives perfect.  It needs absolutely nothing, except a new place to call home.

I have a video of the car on YouTube.  Will add a like later this weekend.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
