PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER CAR AUCTIONS THIS INCREDIBLE 1971 PLYMOUTH ROAD RUNNNER WITH ITS 28 OPTIONS & OPTION PACKAGES HAD AN MSRP OF $5,386.50! THIS IS $2,239.50 OR 71% OVER THE BASE MSRP OF A '71 ROAD RUNNER! *THERE ARE NO 4BBL, 6BBL OR HEMI ROAD RUNNERS (INCLUDING SUPERBIRDS) OR SUPER BEES OF ANY YEAR TO HAVE A HIGHER MSRP THAN THE CAR YOU SEE HERE, OTHER THAN THREE '71 HEMI ROAD RUNNERS & ONE '71 HEMI SUPER BEE! ALSO, THERE NO 6BBL OR 6-PACK B-BODY CARS FROM ANY YEAR TO HAVE A HIGHER MSRP THAN THIS CAR OTHER THAN ONE '71 CHARGER R/T! FURTHERMORE, THERE ARE NO 4BBL, 6-PACK OR HEMI E-BODIES OF ANY YEAR TO HAVE HAD A HIGHER MSRP THAN THIS ROAD RUNNER OTHER THAN ONE '71 HEMI 'CUDA CONVERTIBLE & ONE '71 HEMI CHALLENGER! AS A MATTER OF FACT: THE ONLY MOPAR MUSCLECARS THAT HAD A HIGHER MSRP THAN THIS '71 ROAD RUNNER OTHER THAN THE 7 CARS MENTIONED ABOVE WERE: ONE '71 HEMI GTX, FIVE '71 HEMI CHARGER R/T's & A FEW '71 4BBL CHARGER R/T's & GTX's! BASED ON MY RESEARCH I FEEL CONFIDENT IN MAKING THE STATEMENT THAT: "THERE WERE NO MORE THAN 25 "MOPAR MUSCLECARS" TO HAVE HAD A HIGHER MSRP THAN THIS VERY SIGNIFICANT '71 ROAD RUNNER!" I DO REALIZE THESE ARE SOME REALLY STRONG CLAIMS I'VE MADE AND BASED ON A WHOLE LOT OF RESEARCH, I BELIEVE EVERY ONE OF THEM TO BE TRUE, SO I'M CHALLENGING EVERYONE WHO READS MY CLAIMS TO TRY AND PROVE ME WRONG BY USING A BROADCAST SHEET &/OR AN ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER TO BACK UP ANY ARGUMENT YOU HAVE WITH MY CLAIMS! Now, with all of that being said, onto the Road Runner here for sale: The complete ownership history of this car is known all the way back to the original owner and the original selling dealership where it was special ordered by its first proud owner! It still has its original factory installed numbers matching 383 engine, Automatic Transmission & 3.91 Sure-Grip! Fortunately, for a car as significant as this one is, it has a very nice, complete & legible Broadcast Sheet as well as its Original Fender Tags & Galen Govier Docs! As you can see from the pictures, all of the cars original options are still intact and in very nice reusable condition with the exception of maybe the front spoilers! Above, I mention 28 options & option packages. The car actually came with more options than what I've listed such as Wheel Lip Moldings, Canopy Vinyl Top, Rear Speakers & Deluxe Steering Wheel but these options are included in three of the option packages. The frame rails are in mint condition as well as the trunk floor, the area around the rear window and the whole floor board with the only exception being some small holes where the driver would put their feet. The only rust issues the car has are the ones that you can see in the pictures of the outer body and there is a small rust spot in front of each hood hinge and some at the bottom of the trunk floor extensions on the back side of the quarter panels. The engine and transmission will need to be rebuilt. Overall the car is in really good condition and had always been taken care of and not driven in nasty winter weather. The price of the car includes the original 14" Road Wheels with New B.F. Goodrich tires that you see in a few of the pictures and not the 15" Rallye Wheels and Good Year Poly Glas tires that you see in the other pictures. I just put the 15's on it for some of my personal pictures because I think they look a lot better than the 14's. If you have any questions about the car or want to talk about the claims I've made please call Scott at (405) 203-4441 or send me an email to: pentastarcars@cox.net

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars
Wed, 30 Jul 2014The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]
Mon, 16 Jun 2014
We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
