""This auction is for U.S. bidders only""..""Please read this whole ad before bidding or replying""..1969 Plymouth Road Runner in very nice condition inside, outside, and underneath..Southern car..Rebuilt, correct size & correct 1969 date coded 383/335 H.P. motor ( N.O.M. ) with around 2,500 miles on it with 284/484 purple cam, bored 30 over, Mopar aluminum single plane intake, Holley double pump carb, & Petronix ignition..Has factory H.P. exhaust manifolds, factory valve covers, & factory air cleaner..Car has its matching #s 4 speed manual transmission with new Ram clutch..Rebuilt 8-3/4 355 Sure Grip rear end..4 Wheel disc brake conversion with line lock..Solid southern body with all original panels with the exeption of a replacement trunk floor.. 2 Stage Chroma Base paint of its original rare color of seafoam turquoise that has been wet sanded & buffed to a great shine ( paint code Q5 on the fendertag ) with a couple of minor blemishes & couple of minor touch ups..Very nice chrome..Very nice trim..Very nice glass..Very nice interior..Car has the Road Runner decor package..The lights work, wipers work, horn works, interior light works, amp gauge works, gas gauge works, aftermarket temp gauge works, aftermarket oil pressure gauge works, aftermarket tachometer works, all seatbelts are intact ( including shoulder belts ), and windows roll up & down like they should..Car has no e brake, however you can use the line lock as your e brake to pass inspection..Heater and radio have both been deleted & was nicely done..Speedometer not working ( true mileage unknown )..Car is currently registered..Clean Massachusetts in my name..This car is a street brawler and always gets thumbs up whenever I take it out..1-978-535-4925..Ask for Richie.....Car is being sold as is with "no warranty"..eBay recommends that bidders have cars inspected before buying ( that is the buyers decision ) and ask questions before bidding..This ad is for informational purposes only..The seller will "not" be held liable with how you define the description of this ad..I have the right to end the auction as the car is also for sale locally.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars
Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
