From what I have read there were only 3828 RM23 400-4bbl cars in 1972. Of this small number only 906 were 4 speeds. If we could break that down by Basin Street Blue, then the interior package with gray seat inserts, then the Air Grabber, then the rare black tape treatment....this becomes one cool car to have!
I purchased this and a GTX from someone who had started the restoration process but decided not to finish the projects. As you can see in the photos the K-member was removed, rebuilt, painted, and re-installed. The door jambs, cowl area, engine bay and rear are all freshly painted. The Front-end was not on the car when we picked it up. We temporally hung the front on for storage and photo purposes but of course it needs to come back off to finish being prepped for painting. This car needs a trunk pan, otherwise the sheet metal is in very nice condition. There is a little rust that is shown in the photos but nothing major. I have virtually all of the car in regards to body parts and the original trim and interior. The front and rear glass was removed, the seal bed stripped, painted, and then a new Windshield and Rear glass installed. The Original front seat is gone, but there is a like replacement that needs covering. The original rear seat, upper & lower door panels, and dash all with car. No carpet. The original Air grabber is in tact with the original air cleaner, air box and vacuum actuator.
As I indicated above this is a 400 4-bbl. car. I received with the car a 440 that according to the former owner is a good running engine (but not freshly rebuilt) that he intended to put in the car with the original 4-speed. The 440 goes with the car just as I received it. Note the correct Exhaust manifolds in the photo!
I have described the car as I know it, and taken photos that help represent it accurately for what it is (which is cool). If you are a serious buyer, and have questions, please ask and I will make every effort to research the answer. Any item shown in the background of a photo is not included with purchase, just the obvious parts for this car.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
