1971 Plymouth R/R, RM23N car. I bought this car with the intent of restoring it some day, but have 2 others that are eating up the cash fast. First let me begin by saying the car does not have the original motor or 4 speed tranny. However when i bought the car it came with a 1970 440 and 833, 4speed witch is included (check out the pics). The car itself i bought for 1 reson The Metal its all original. There are no cuts or patches on this car nothing has ben replaced. The frame rails and undercarrage are very nice to i have ben all around this car and see nothing major. Thats not to say it is rust free, it has small spots here and there but nothing were you would have to replace a whole quarter. The odometer reads 42,048 and i believe this to be true. This car needs a good restoration and is more than worthy of one. It came from the factory with a Big Block, 4spd, A/C, PB, 26"RAD, 150mph speedo with tach, and its original color was: In Violet. Plymouths name, Dodge called it Plum Crazy Purple same paint code. This car is very complete body and interior wise the grills are all good as is the front & rear valences, fenders, doors, are good, quarters are nice only the passenger side front lower quarter has a small rust spot. Some one oviously did a terrible paint job on the car and sprayed red primer inside the engine compartment. The good news is that they left much of the original purple color all over the car as you can see in the pics. Dont ask me why some one cut holes in the fender wells inside engine compartment? my guess is as good as yours. I do have a set of original fender well pieces that you could cut your patch out of that are included. I also have the drip rail mouldings you see missing on the car and they are in very good shape. Car has 489 posi with large yoke(2 5/8") iether 355s or 333s.I have heavy duty drive shaft to with correct 2 5/8" yokes. New BF Goodrich Tires up front, rears are like new also, rims are new. The dash in this car is amazing no cracks and is missing nothing. I have over 100 pics of this car and the many extra parts going with it.I cant show it all to you because i can only put up 24 of them.So if you are really interested send me your email and i will send you all the pics. Car was also manual steering but i converted it to power with a colunm from another 71 R/R. New power steering box from Stevens Performance. I also have some extra parts for the motor, valve covers timing chain cover ect. Some of the extras: New Hayes HD clutch, new fly wheel, original 440 six pack intake, original 11"cast bell housing.extra wind shield, door with glass, trunk deck, chin spiolers, complete set of original black interior panels, pass and driver correct dual sport mirrors,71 Satelite hood,1970 440 motor,833-4spd with everything, all my parts are originals. There are some things i dont have if you dont see it in the pics then its not there. Please call 914-419-4749. 8am-8pm mon-sun. with questions. Come and take a look if you can any days are good but Wensday. This is a good car and deserves a good home. I know ther is much i missed, i will post more as things come to me. Ther were only around 3,400 of these cars produced in 71 with a factory 4 speed i wonder how many of them came with a big block 4speed a/c, power discs and plum crazy. This car had a lot of nice factory options. Check out the fender tag and decode it. It has a partial build sheet but it is only the lower half upper half just kind of erroded over time. It has a clear title and comes with a New York Registration that is in my name. Winning bidder must pay $500.00 deposit within 24 hours of auction ending. Car must be picked up 7-10 days of auction ending or sooner and payed with Certified bank check or Cash Only! I can load on trailer for you. please check auction regulary as i will post more info or parts as i go threw them. The reserve on this car and all thats going with it is Ridiculous dont be afraid to bid, its less than you think. Thanks & good luck.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars
Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars
Wed, 30 Jul 2014The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
