selling from my collection absolutely beautiful GTX.   car is a product of 2 yrs of restoration, granted im a little slow  but none the less the car is done very nice.   car was bought locally in western pa. where it was stored inside since early 80s  car was originally 440 auto 8 3/4 rear. matador red color and black vynl top are correct to car. dana 60 is also date coded correct. 4spd im not sure of date code but shifts perfectly with absolutely no noise  this GTX has all its original sheet metal and i mean that not one piece of this car had to be replaced! pictures will show how nice this GTX really is it drives like new and it should it has all new suspicion parts ,brakes, exhaust and shocks windows roll up and down like new doors close perfect with no effort. motor is dated 68 and also exhaust manifolds  let me say at this point that the car IS NOT NUMBERS MATCHING but alot of the parts used are correctly date coded for this year and body. the motor was professionally rebuilt by mike fowler  of smith brothers racing in columbus ohio using and eagle crank rotating assembly and a great comp performance cam and piston combination so as to give nice street performance and a racy sound on pump gas the 6 pack and yes i know 68 didnt come with a 6 pack but look at the other 68 s with the puny boring air cleaner and 700 cfm carb and tell me honestly that you would not rather open up your fiberglass hood and stare at a 6 pack at 1300 cfm set up on top of a cammed up 440!!! i have 30 cars here ive built them to be crowd pleasers you will enjoy every minute of driving this B body. the GTX has 14 X 7 magnum 500 road wheels and BF goodrich radials the dana 60 has 3.54 gear which is perfect for street use yeah its a posi  very cool!!!  all of my mopars get a dana 60  they are just impressive when you approch them from the rear.  the GTX also has a pistol grip shifter another cool option from chrysler that everybody loves  and again i built this car to be one to be proud of, not just run of the mill it has all the rite stuff and it is a real GTX!!!  this car was totally dismantled and media blasted at multi media in west middlesex,pa   then the car was placed on roteserie
well youve got the idea. enjoy the pictures and video and if you have any q's about the car just call 724 944 5646 thanks steve. i also will be selling a very nice 66 mustang fastback 347 stroker with 5 spd and 9 in with disk brakes soon

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
