Found sitting in a garage a 1966 Plymouth Fury III 4 door hardtop 383 AT PS PB. This car is in very nice condition including 100% original paint and interior. 1 owner car with 108,000 original miles and garaged its whole life. No rust anywhere as floors, cowl, trunk, wheelwells, quarter panels all look like new. Frame rails and torsion bars are perfect as no salted roads in Seattle. Front seat is a little torn but rest of interior including door panels are very nice including headliner which looks like new. Dash pad is perfect. It still retains its original 383 2 bbl. Car has not run in years so I put a battery in it and the engine turned over fine. It didn't start though as the gas in the tank is too old and was not getting to the carb. Tank and fuel system should be flushed and it will probably start. All accessories work except clock. One wheelcover is missing, windshield is cracked and body has a couple of minor dings. All interior and exterior chrome is very good and shines nicely. Tons of service paperwork come with car as it was taken good care of by original owner. All 4 doors, hood and decklid shut perfectly. It rains every day in Seattle and this car doeas not leak anywhere. This would make a great driver if you can get it running and are in the market for a 4 door hardtop. Good color combo dark blue with light blue interior and it is a factory big block car as most of these were equipped with 318's. Very clean survivor as nice as you will find. Any questions 619 929 8806. Sold as is.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars
Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
