 this is a true 340 duster older full restoration .car was original b 5 paint and body consistent with older restoration .the engine is a 340 #2780930-340 that gives the look of being stock.has a 1970 cast intake new carter comp carb exhaust manifolds are 1970 hi po .j heads #3418915 which are correct for a 73 engine. fuel pump is a high volume mechanical type .has the orange hp electronic ignition module . has a brand new main wiring harness .radiator is correct 26 inch either new or recored. has full stainless steel exhaust and factory appearing mufflers.exhaust has a mellow deep sound-more like a big block. fuel tank has been replaced with a new reprduction.engine is solid no leaks ,engine pulls hard from low end and never stops performing. tranny was rebuilt and has strong solid shifts deep tranny pan and oil coller were added .vehicle appears to have a correct numbers matching drive train but not 100 % easy to determine. the engine block  has a date code 10/72 (which is consistent since i dont know the actual vehicle build date -just the scheduled build date of 8/28.there is a small die stamping on passenger side of block above the oil panwith #2b41825.tranny # pk368105342660710 . the 3681053 stands for 72-73 model a-727 automatic tranny.. the rear axle is a 8 3/4 3.55 sure grip with casting # 2881489. tires are b f goodrich all around. interior beautiful black bucket seat and door panels ,front seats have been recovered using legendary seat covers.the rear seat is original dash pad had a small crack a new dash cap was installed.car has am-fm stock radio .has the rare floor shifter front and rear bumpers have bee rechromed  i think i have listed all info but if any questions just e-mail me for more info .my reserve is very low for this car as to what they have been selling for on e-bay in the last month

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
