Up for sale is real 1971 Plymouth Cuda' 340 4-speed car. This car should give folks that cant afford a $50-60k 71' Cuda a chance to own one..

My asking price is very affordable considering this car is approximately 90% complete and finished.. The reason I am selling? I just do not have the extra time or money to invest in it.

This car started out an original white car but the previous owner replaced all of the floor pans, trunk pan and sheet metal on a rotisserie and decided to paint it EV2 Tor Red or what is also known as Hemi Orange.

The paint looks beautiful. I've added billboard stripes and the complete shaker assembly.

It has new interior (seats, carpet and pistol grip shifter) but needs the trim and headliner that I have for it installed.

The engine that is in it is out of a E-body but is NOT the correct matching numbers V8. I do have a date code correct 340 core (block) that I will include.

Almost everything on this car is either brand new or has been restored but here is a list of what is included and what needs to be finished..

I have a set of nice original tail light assemblies ready to be installed. I just had both (the main grille and the lower valance grille) grilles painted and are ready to be assembled and installed. I have the front turn signal housings that need to be restored. I have freshly painted side marker housings and brand new reflectors for them. I have brand new chrome headlight rings for it. I have the window and the interior trim for it that will need to be painted and polished. The front and rear bumpers are great "driver" bumpers but will needs to be re-chromed to be perfect. I just installed a brand new fuel tank but it needs to have the lines attached. It needs exhaust and I do have a set of original chrome tips for it. I'm sure that I might be forgetting something so please just ask.

I have a clear Washington title and this car is sold as-is.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

Te buyer is responsible for any and all transportation. This car is not complete and is not drivable. Please make arrangements to have it transported.

Thanks for looking!

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.
