70 Cuda AAR. This car has been with the same owner from 1983 to 2014. Being in Colorado that entire time, it is a very dry car. This Cuda was fully restored a while ago and has held up very well. It is a real FC7 Plum Crazy car with its original fender tag. The engine is not the original but is a dated 1970 Trans AM correct engine, with the correct heads and intake/carbs. The transmission I believe is the original. All of the mechanical components of this car have been professionally rebuilt to factory specs. The suspension and brake system are rebuilt and have nice drivability. The underside of this car is very nice and solid with NO RUST. It is not highly detailed, but it looks clean and is not too nice to drive and enjoy. Under the hood is nicely detailed and looks great. With no leaks or mechanical issues its ready for the local car show. The paint and body on this car is nice. It has been wet sanded and polished to a mirror shine. There is one very small spot where the paint has bubbled, but everything else is nice. All of the glass is nice and the side glass rolls up and down well. The stainless trim and chrome bumpers are all very nice and show well. The interior is partially original and very nice. It has a bench seat and column shift which is really rare on AAR's. The dash and gauges look great and all work as expected. With the odometer reading 94,496 miles, this car is still relatively low miles and it shows throughout. Inside the trunk is clean and retains the spare and original jack. If you are looking for a real AAR Cuda that is affordable and ready to enjoy, then this is the car for you. This car drives great and needs nothing.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars
Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. 'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
