1970 Plymouth Barracuda Base 360 Engine on 2040-cars
Jacksonville, Florida, United States
Here is a sweet looking 1970 barracuda. Originally a 318 car, but now sporting a 360 engine. The paint and body work are very nice, a very slick finish. The interior panels and seats have been covered in a pleather material with white inserts. Floor pans and frame rails are very nice with no rust or rot. They eliminated the side marker lights, and did a great job. Car has power steering, drum brakes all the way around. Car has an vintage air and heat unit installed. It is sporting magnum 500's rims and will have new tires on (Monday).Just put a brand new set of Cooper Cobra tires,(235-60-14). This car runs and drives with all the lights and signals working. It has a dakota dash that has just recently been installed. Car does not have a fender tag but the core support numbers match the v.i.n. It looks like some quarter work was done in the past and it was done right. I am missing the back bumper guards but should have them before the auction ends I still need a window crank and a drivers side mirror bezel. Very nice car to cruise around in. Any questions call 904-219-6195,.Lets cut to the chase and get this car sold, Just lowered the b.i.n. by 4K. WILL NOT GO ANY LOWER,I WILL KEEP IT IF IT DOESN'T SELL. Just making room for my GTX Hemi Cars. Call me before hitting the b.i.n, so I know you are serious. It is very expensive to list these cars on ebay. The car is also advertised in other venues and can be pulled at any time.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars
Wed, 30 Jul 2014The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]
Mon, 16 Jun 2014
We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
