This car was rotisserie restored about 8 years ago and has only about 1600 miles on the car since it was finished. It retains all of its original sheet metal which made it a great candidate for restoration. The car was taken down to bare metal and everything was replaced! The paint underneath the car is as good as the paint on the rest of the car…..JUST LOOK AT THE PICS!! It looks like it was dipped in paint! This 1967 Barracuda mixes the old muscle car look with a little bit of modern Restomod touches. It has those classic lines that are enhanced by the shaved door handles as well as the fiberglass six pack hood that makes this car stand out in a crowd. It sports a very stout 383 cu engine that will stand up and growl! The 727 transmission shifts nice and crisp with the help of a manual reverse valve body and a B&M shifter. The 3” exhaust will piss off your neighbors because it sounds like you are at the NHRA Nationals…no kidding….the car sounds amazing! Give the car a couple of pumps on the gas pedal and it starts right up every time. Looks good, drives good, sounds good…………..what more do you want?? An amazing price………….YOU GOT IT!! The paint is great on this car. Looks even better in person! I give it an 8.5. I would rate it higher ,but it is a driver. I do not know how you can rate any paint on a car higher than that if you drive it. Has some rock chips and such. Things you expect to see on a car that is driven.
Car does have the classic Mopar Oil leak. You will see a drop or two of oil on your garage floor. Just trying to be honest. No big deal to most people, but I just wanted to mention it.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson.
