IF YOU HAVE LESS THEN 25 FEEDBACK PLEASE CONTACT US BY PHONE PRIOR TO BIDDING. SORRY TO BE THIS WAY BUT WE TAKE OUR AUCTIONS SERIOUSLY AND WANT YOU TO DO THE SAME. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS ASK BEFORE YOU BID. This auction is for a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass S with 442 Trim Package.Cranberry metallic with white interior Just to be up front I can not guarantee that this is an actual 442. I did a little research in my American car catalogue and it states that 1971 was the last year you could decode the VIN to find out if you had a factory 442. In 1972 they were Cutlass S Models, came standard with a 350 engine (455 was optional) and the 442 was just an appearence / handling package only. This car does have 442 items including front and rear stabilizer bars and rear boxed trailering arms. So to be safe this is a Cutlass with 442 trim. Overall this is a real decent car that just needs minor cosmetic TLC to make it road ready for the upcoming spring. It came in trade from the prior owner who had the car approx 6 years. It was stored for the past 2 years pending a divorce. It has the correct 350 Rocket Motor that was rebuilt a few years back. Runs very nice. It has a mild cam and has a nice rumble to it. Has an EdelBrock Aluminum intake, 750 Carb, Chrome valve covers and breather. Just needs a little detailing under the hood from sitting. Automatic Trans, Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes and 10 Bolt Single Trac Rear. I did notice the brake pedal felt a tad spongey. May be due to some new brake lines being installed and the system not being bled properly. Looks like traditional style mufflers made by Cherry Bomb. Complete dual exhaust system is new and still shiney. Must have been installed just before the car was stored. The underside of the car appears to be quite solid. Looks like it has all its original floorpans. I did notice on the passenger side another pan was put into place on the underside. Had to really look to see it. If I had to guess there may be a spot on the top original pan and they installed this to seal it up but it looks fine and does not bother the integrity of the floor.Frame is in excellant condition. Appears to have had a new fuel tank, new shocks and some new brake lines. Has a fairly fresh set of Radial GT Tech 5,000 Tires mounted on Aluminum American Racers. Fronts are 235/60 15, Rears are 275/60 15. The interior is in real decent condition. Has bucket seats with console with His/Hers Hurst Shifter and correct console shifter plate. Dash pad is in nice shape no cracks or damage. Does have a carpet cover on it to protect from the sun. Has a Pioneer Super Tuner WMA/MP3/AAC CD Player. Speakers are also Pioneer mounted in the rear shelf. There is a big face Mallory Tach mounted on a swivel. The guage cluster was not disturbed or cut. It is missing the ash tray door. All guages, lights, turn signals, heater wipers, etc work. Headliner is in good shape. Carpets are all good but a little sun fade in places. The body on the car is reasonably straight and solid. Doors open and close great, car has power windows and they work fine. There are a couple of areas that need minor attention. The bottom of the passenger front fender has a small break out and the drivers door bottom outer edge has some bubbling across it. Both look like a fairly easy fix (see pics). Everything else is nice and solid on the car. There is also a small dent on the drivers side front of the hood (see pics). Bumpers are in decent shape. Front one looks new. Back one is solid but has some light peppering throughout. Take a couple of weekends to do the cosmetics and a once over on the car and you will be enjoying your new ride. Its getting hard to find reasonably priced muscle cars with what cars are selling for these days. As far as I am concerned this one is very affordable for whats out there. The car is for sale locally so we reserve the right to end the auction early. If the car meets the reserve we will let the auction run to the end to be fair to everyone. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU CANNOT FOLLOW THRU. We expect a $500 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auctions end. Balance due 3 days after. We have a current NH reg transfered to us and our proper dealer paper work that you will receive should you need a title in your state If you need more pics or info call 207-324-5568 days or 207-432-2862 eves and sundays |

eBay Find of the Day: 1976 GMC Motorhome is a jolly green giant
Wed, 18 Jun 2014If you have a need to relive the 1970s, then here is the vehicle for you. This groovy blast from the past is a 1976 GMC Motorhome currently for auction in Florida on eBay Motors, and it is one green machine - just not in the modern sense.
The seller claims that this beast has had just two owners and has covered a mere 61,308 miles in its decades on the road. It's reportedly never been restored or repainted and comes with all of the necessary books and manuals. A 7.5-liter (455-cubic-inch) Oldsmobile V8 with a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission powering the front wheels propels this far-out RV, and the double set of rear wheels out back use a self-leveling air suspension to provide a cushy ride.
The purported low miles and good condition really make this GMC a stand out, though. The exterior combination of lime stripes and beige with just a touch of green is like nothing else on the road today. Plus, the polished bumpers and wheels make it all pop. Inside, it's even better with monochromatic green upholstery and shag carpet. It features everything you'd ever need on a long trip, including a bathroom, kitchenette and lots of seating. The only hint of modernization is an HD TV next to the stove, but its size is a perfect fit for the hole there.
GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
Ferrari FF pitted against Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser in crazy Generation Gap comparison
Thu, 13 Nov 2014The folks behind Generation Gap have lost their minds with this latest video. The goal here is to determine the ultimate family cruiser, but the choices are what you would least expect, with a heavily modded 1970 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser going up against a 2012 Ferrari FF.
You might anticipate an over-40-year-old Oldsmobile to pale in comparison to any modern Ferrari, but this wagon has a ton of secrets under its skin thanks to Lingenfelter. First, it packs a supercharged LS3 V8 with a claimed 650 horsepower and a six-speed manual gearbox. That big upgrade in power is further helped with air suspension and massive Wilwood disc brakes. The result is nothing short of deafening, with blaring yelps whenever the driver even nudges the accelerator.
The alternative sounds just as good, albeit in very different way. The Ferrari's 6.3-liter V12 pumps out 651 hp and 504 pound-feet with a part-time all-wheel drive system. While the FF lacks a lot of the hauling ability of the Olds, it makes up for the deficit in handling, luxury, and in many eyes, simply by having the famous prancing horse on the grille.
