hello everyone i will try to keep this short sweet and too the point.  let me start off by saying if you have ANY further questions or need ANY furter clarification as to the cars condition please do not hesitate to call me 707-672-2257 thank you.

Now, this olds was lovingly restored by its previous owner 11 years ago now.  no expense was spared and it shows, the high compression 303 4bbl v8 was rebuilt hydromatic trans was rebuilt front and rear suspension, brakes, power steering, interior, wiring upgraded to 12v with a common gm alternator.  repainted and rechromed she was a pretty little sedan, then due to illness the owner passed away and the olds was left to sit on the side of her brothers garage for 9 years occasionally being driven for the first couple of them and then not at all.  Fast forward 6 years and i had noticed the olds sitting looking sad untill one day there was a for sale sign taped to the hood. After hearing the story and some negotiations i took her home, replaced ignition points, battery, cap, rotor, wires, rubber fuel hoses, filters, drained the fuel tank replaced the tires and brake fluid just to be safe, one turn of the key and she came back to life.  for a little over a year i bombed this olds all over town the soft rumble of the 303 could be heard early morning to late night just like the blasting rock n roll from the stereo.  Then just like before life gets away from us bought a house and the olds sat again for about another year.  which brings us to today, its time for someone else to enjoy this car like i have in the past keep it, drive it, put that true old school rocket v8 and hydro in a model A or use it for a parts car for your 2 door or whatever you want.

I am not asking a million bucks for her but i will tell you this you could not build the engine for what iam asking for the whole car.  now she has random places of rust(mostly around fender edges and door bottoms floors and trunk pan are solid)  a dent in the trunk lid and a smaller one on the side i never cared because she was just too much fun to cause a ruckus around town with so look at the pictures and ask your questions i dont want to hear any crying out of somebody that they didnt get a show car for 2000.00 to make it easy i will make a simple good/bad list below.

THE GOOD
-303 rocket v8 rebuilt and runs awsome starts every time
-hydromatic trans rebuilt and shifts smooth yet firm like it should
-brakes and steering work as they should
-current non-op and clear ca title in hand so no bs or hidden fees at the dmv
-converted to 12v with a common gm alternator
-tape deck with cd changer controls, 6 disc cd changer in the glove box with kenwood amp and sub in the trunk ready to blast your taste in tunes
-vdo clock in stock location and all gauges/lights/signals work
-recent tune up

THE BAD
-it has been sitting for a year or so carb should be gone through and fuel drained and replaced since california gas is half ethanol and barely lasts 2 weeks i did drive it as recently as today down to the local market and back with no serious issue but you could tell she doesnt like whatever the fuel has turned into
-never got the passenger window to roll down and didnt want to force it
-old early 90s clear coat is coming off
-tops of the seats are baked
-early 90s rechrome job is coming off
-pot metal tail light housings are pitted

THE UGLY
-areas of rust bubbles on the bottoms of the doors and below trunk lid and im sure else where however floors and trunk pans are solid
-dented trunk lid it still closes and opens fine story that goes with it
-dent on side of car-nothing serious look at pics

one more thing, if your in a 4 or 500 mile radius i have a trailer and would be willing to deliver the car to you for a small fee (cheaper than a transport company) and faster too but please check with me first  dont just assume im going to deliver it to denver or something for 50 bucks.

one more time any questions call me 707-672-2257 thanks and- good luck-jeff

Jay Leno bangs up his own Toronado in GT6

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

Ever since Gran Turismo 4, Jay Leno has had at least one of his cars included in the popular racing simulator (starting with the Tank Car), and more of his machines appears in Gran Turismo 6. They include this nose-heavy, front-wheel-drive V8-powered muscle car. Yes, that aptly describes a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado - except Leno's is rear-wheel drive. And it has a Cadillac CTS-V race engine modified to pump out 1,070 horsepower.
For the latest Jay Leno's Garage episode, he takes his real Toronado out for a cruise and then drives the virtual one like he stole it, accruing some body damage along the way. Leno also drives the virtual supercar Mercedes-Benz designed for GT6, the AMG Vision Gran Turismo Concept that debuted at the LA Auto Show, along with the real one, which is a 1:1-scale model. The model is radio-controlled and equipped with a small electric motor, sufficient to move it on and off of auto show floors.
Head below to watch the episode, which includes a few words from GT6 creator Kazunori Yamauchi.

eBay Find of the Day: 1976 GMC Motorhome is a jolly green giant

Wed, 18 Jun 2014

If you have a need to relive the 1970s, then here is the vehicle for you. This groovy blast from the past is a 1976 GMC Motorhome currently for auction in Florida on eBay Motors, and it is one green machine - just not in the modern sense.
The seller claims that this beast has had just two owners and has covered a mere 61,308 miles in its decades on the road. It's reportedly never been restored or repainted and comes with all of the necessary books and manuals. A 7.5-liter (455-cubic-inch) Oldsmobile V8 with a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission powering the front wheels propels this far-out RV, and the double set of rear wheels out back use a self-leveling air suspension to provide a cushy ride.
The purported low miles and good condition really make this GMC a stand out, though. The exterior combination of lime stripes and beige with just a touch of green is like nothing else on the road today. Plus, the polished bumpers and wheels make it all pop. Inside, it's even better with monochromatic green upholstery and shag carpet. It features everything you'd ever need on a long trip, including a bathroom, kitchenette and lots of seating. The only hint of modernization is an HD TV next to the stove, but its size is a perfect fit for the hole there.

Ferrari FF pitted against Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser in crazy Generation Gap comparison

Thu, 13 Nov 2014

The folks behind Generation Gap have lost their minds with this latest video. The goal here is to determine the ultimate family cruiser, but the choices are what you would least expect, with a heavily modded 1970 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser going up against a 2012 Ferrari FF.
You might anticipate an over-40-year-old Oldsmobile to pale in comparison to any modern Ferrari, but this wagon has a ton of secrets under its skin thanks to Lingenfelter. First, it packs a supercharged LS3 V8 with a claimed 650 horsepower and a six-speed manual gearbox. That big upgrade in power is further helped with air suspension and massive Wilwood disc brakes. The result is nothing short of deafening, with blaring yelps whenever the driver even nudges the accelerator.
The alternative sounds just as good, albeit in very different way. The Ferrari's 6.3-liter V12 pumps out 651 hp and 504 pound-feet with a part-time all-wheel drive system. While the FF lacks a lot of the hauling ability of the Olds, it makes up for the deficit in handling, luxury, and in many eyes, simply by having the famous prancing horse on the grille.
