This Cutlass was totally restred last winter and was completed this spring. It was a virtually rust free 84K mile survivor before restoration. there were 3 SMALL rust spots which were totally cut out and sandblasted and treated before welding in patch panels. None of the rust spots were more than 4 square inches. It has a complete new interior except the door panels which just needed cleaning. The car was professionally painted, wetsanded and buffed in an original Oldsmobile color called "saddle mist poly" with a "palomino white" top. The 330 CI V8 has had a complete tune up and runs perfect. The front end has been totally rebuilt with new ball joints, sway bar bushings, etc. The transmission functions properly. The air conditioning blows ICE COLD. No overheating issues and can be driven anywhere. The wheels are 18" BMW Msport wheels from a 98 BMW 740iL, the rubber is in good shape but not new. I installed a "Classic stereo" that looks like the original and even say's "Oldsmobile" it is AM?FM and has an auxillary input for Iphone or MP3 player. I have a 100% seller feedback rating and I aim to keep it that way. I will tell you everything I can think of right now good OR bad. This car is totally restored except it was not a "frame off" restoration. I left the underside and engine compartment just as they were when I bought it. I have driven the car some this summer and I get a lot of compliments (especially on the paint job quality and color). This is NOT a 100% PERFECT paint job BUT it is VERY close (probably 90%) I chipped the cowl a little right after paint installing a windshield wiper arm and one more final polish would make it look even better but it is awesome looking as it is. I do have the original hubcaps in excellent condition but the rims seem to have dissapeared. The hubcaps are included in the auction price. If you don't want the BMW rims I would negotiate a discount if I can keep them. The "package shelf" behind the seat is missing but I have extra headliner material to make a new one, it is very easy to do with interior dense cardboard. The trunk pan is solid with no rust. The floorboards were in good condition except the passenger front and I replaced the whole pan with an aftermarket pan made just for this car. I also patched about a 3 square inch spot on the rear passenger pan. The car has ALL NEW WEATHERSTRIPPING and door felts and a new windshield. All of the glass was removed and the glass channels sandblasted to remove any surface rust and reinstalled properly. The stainless trim is in excellent condition, there is one wheel opening trim that has a little dent in it but not very bad. The front and rear bumpers do have some spots of surface rust and to be a show car should be rechromed but they are straight and solid and look fine for a "driver". there is some minor pitting on the tailight bezels and door handles. All of the trim and bumpers were removed before paint there was NO masking off trim and this is the only way to paint a car properly and avoid problems later on. The car was completely disassembled during restoration. There are so many more things I could tell you about this car but I am getting tired of typing and I really can't think of everything right now so IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS JUST MESSAGE ME AND I WILL ANSWER HONESTLY. I have sold a few cars on Ebay and bought a few and I believe the best way to protect yourself is to ask a lot of questions and or come and inspect the car and form your own opinion. I have bought and restored several cars over the years, I do it because I have a passion for old vehicles and I enjoy the hobby. I don't do it to make money I do it because I enjoy it, as a matter of fact I am lucky to break even on them. I am selling because I only have so much dry storage space and money and I have another vehicle I just found and I want to buy it and restore it. Thanks for checking out my listing and message me if you have questions or would like to see any pictures of something in particular. HAPPY BIDDING!! Marty

Ferrari FF pitted against Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser in crazy Generation Gap comparison
Thu, 13 Nov 2014The folks behind Generation Gap have lost their minds with this latest video. The goal here is to determine the ultimate family cruiser, but the choices are what you would least expect, with a heavily modded 1970 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser going up against a 2012 Ferrari FF.
You might anticipate an over-40-year-old Oldsmobile to pale in comparison to any modern Ferrari, but this wagon has a ton of secrets under its skin thanks to Lingenfelter. First, it packs a supercharged LS3 V8 with a claimed 650 horsepower and a six-speed manual gearbox. That big upgrade in power is further helped with air suspension and massive Wilwood disc brakes. The result is nothing short of deafening, with blaring yelps whenever the driver even nudges the accelerator.
The alternative sounds just as good, albeit in very different way. The Ferrari's 6.3-liter V12 pumps out 651 hp and 504 pound-feet with a part-time all-wheel drive system. While the FF lacks a lot of the hauling ability of the Olds, it makes up for the deficit in handling, luxury, and in many eyes, simply by having the famous prancing horse on the grille.
Jay Leno bangs up his own Toronado in GT6
Wed, 11 Dec 2013Ever since Gran Turismo 4, Jay Leno has had at least one of his cars included in the popular racing simulator (starting with the Tank Car), and more of his machines appears in Gran Turismo 6. They include this nose-heavy, front-wheel-drive V8-powered muscle car. Yes, that aptly describes a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado - except Leno's is rear-wheel drive. And it has a Cadillac CTS-V race engine modified to pump out 1,070 horsepower.
For the latest Jay Leno's Garage episode, he takes his real Toronado out for a cruise and then drives the virtual one like he stole it, accruing some body damage along the way. Leno also drives the virtual supercar Mercedes-Benz designed for GT6, the AMG Vision Gran Turismo Concept that debuted at the LA Auto Show, along with the real one, which is a 1:1-scale model. The model is radio-controlled and equipped with a small electric motor, sufficient to move it on and off of auto show floors.
Head below to watch the episode, which includes a few words from GT6 creator Kazunori Yamauchi.
eBay Find of the Day: 1976 GMC Motorhome is a jolly green giant
Wed, 18 Jun 2014If you have a need to relive the 1970s, then here is the vehicle for you. This groovy blast from the past is a 1976 GMC Motorhome currently for auction in Florida on eBay Motors, and it is one green machine - just not in the modern sense.
The seller claims that this beast has had just two owners and has covered a mere 61,308 miles in its decades on the road. It's reportedly never been restored or repainted and comes with all of the necessary books and manuals. A 7.5-liter (455-cubic-inch) Oldsmobile V8 with a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission powering the front wheels propels this far-out RV, and the double set of rear wheels out back use a self-leveling air suspension to provide a cushy ride.
The purported low miles and good condition really make this GMC a stand out, though. The exterior combination of lime stripes and beige with just a touch of green is like nothing else on the road today. Plus, the polished bumpers and wheels make it all pop. Inside, it's even better with monochromatic green upholstery and shag carpet. It features everything you'd ever need on a long trip, including a bathroom, kitchenette and lots of seating. The only hint of modernization is an HD TV next to the stove, but its size is a perfect fit for the hole there.
