This is a very reliable well maintained Olds 442 in original unmolested condition.

Everything is in good working condition and I would not hesitate to drive the car anywhere.

I owned the car for about 4 years and it has been garage kept and only driven about 650 miles since I purchased it. It was bought from a retired gentleman who owned and collected 442's. He was selling off all of his cars for his retirement and this was his daily driver. Since I owned the car I put new BF Goodrich Radial T/A Tires (70s up front & 60s in the rear) a new battery, new radiator (the old one sprung a leak but is included with the car) rebuilt the center console, replaced the spark plugs and wires, replaced both window lift motors, replaced a few small details here and there such as lights and switches. I regularly change the oil and filter. Also included with the car is an owners and repair manual, a brand new still in the package under hood insulation pad and carpet for the trunk, also are some receipts and misc. paperwork.

This 442 has the rare T-Tops (only about 1300 of the 4273 442s produced in 1986 had T-Tops) The Tops are in excellent condition and do not leak, also included are a set of factory trunk T-Top storage bags.

The car is in very good condition, the interior is near perfect with the exception of a few small sun cracks in the dash pad. All lights and indicators work, all electrics work with the exception of the cruise control. The A.C. compressor does not turn on (I was told that if the A.C. requires a charge there is a limit switch that prevents the compressor from activating but I cannot confirm this). Mechanically everything else is very good, The motor runs strong and fast, all gears shift excellent, the starter sometimes will spin and not always catch the flywheel, but this happens rarely and has never left me stranded. There is a small amount of oil seepage on the left side of the motor at the valve cover gasket, it is minimal but will get hot and smoke and smell a little. A few drops of oil will sometimes apear on the garage floor. The odometer shows 61K and that is what I was told was the correct milage from the previous owner, however when the car was registered to MD somehow the new title is showing 160400. I do not know why. If you check the vehicle history report on the VIN you will see that the previous owner registered the car in PA around 2006 with 40K miles and I registered it about 4 years later. There is no way this car accumulated 120K miles in that time period so I put the blame on MVA but they wont allow the change and I will not make any more attempts to contact them.

Overall the car would greatly benifit from paint and minor body work. She is rust free and solid. There are small chips, scratches, chips, dings and faded paint that you would expect to see on a 26 year old car but nothing major. There was some minor work and some repaint done in the lower quarters and front grill and bumpers. The trunk had a small dent near the lock that was filled and is now primered gray. The work looks ok but was not done by a professional. The bumpers have some mars and rubbed areas and a small part of the chrome trim is broken at the front right.
