Up for sale is a nice new looking Nissan XTerra. This has been my daughter's first car for the past 2 years. We bought it for her because it comes equipped with the RARE side airbags and its a bright yellow for added safety on the road. There are no dents, scratches or dings in the body and bumpers. Watch this Nissan GT-R Nismo attack the 'Ring
Wed, 04 Sep 2013Following yesterday's spy photos of the Nissan GT-R Nismo at the Nürburgring, we've been informed that some intrepid spies have captured video of Super Godzilla lapping the track. We aren't sure which turn the first clip is showing, but the second and third are almost certainly the tough right-hander known as Bergwerk.
Like the current GT-R, the Nismo, even with what might be a new exhaust system, isn't a vehicle that sounds particularly good in a flyby. It's more of just an intense whooshing noise. Take a look at the full video from RSR Nürburgring down below.
Nissan shows self-cleaning car coated in nano paint
Thu, 24 Apr 2014Washing the car is an activity like mowing the lawn that some people love and others find to be an absolute chore. For the latter group, Nissan may have an answer. Nissan is testing a nano-paint coating that could make the car wash a very infrequent place to visit.
Shown on a European Note hatchback, the key is a special layer of super-hydrophobic and oleophobic material called Ultra-Ever Dry that is sprayed over the paint. It creates a protective layer between the body and environment, and it means that when dirt or water come into contact with the car, the gunk just sheets away.
Nissan admits that the coating is still early in testing. The key will be if the stuff can actually last for the long term, and the company will be analyzing it over the coming months to see how it will react in different conditions. At the moment, the automaker has no plans to offer Ultra-Ever Dry as a standard feature, but it may make it available as an aftermarket addition in the future. The 2016 Green Truck of the Year, the second time the award has been handed out, is being decided by judges from Green Car Journal and the San Antonio Auto & Truck Show. This year the award is joined by the new 2016 Commercial Green Car of the Year, which crowns one of the little vans increasingly used by small business as cargo and delivery vehicles. The Green Truck of the Year finalists are the Chevrolet Colorado Duramax (pictured), Ford F-150, GMC Canyon Duramax, Nissan Titan XD, and Toyota Tacoma. The first three of those were on last year's list, but since they are completely new or upgraded for 2016 - Ford with its all-aluminum body, the General Motors twins with the new diesel Duramax engine - they qualify for entry again. The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel won last year. The Commercial Green Car finalists are the Chevrolet City Express, Ford Transit Connect, Mercedes-Benz Metris, Nissan NV200, and Ram ProMaster City.
