2004 Nissan Titan King Cab Le 4x4 With Big Tow Package Pick Up Truck on 2040-cars
Bohemia, New York, United States
I am selling my 2004 Nissan Titan King Cab LE 4x4 with big tow package
pick up truck. The truck currently has about 196,600 miles. It is my
daily use truck and I am selling to get a more commuter friendly car. I
work in Queens and drive 90 miles round trip. I am selling the truck
as is. No warranties implied. Asking $8000 or best offer. Truck is a great work truck. I have towed big trailers and hauled a lot of construction materials. It always held up.
Things I have done to the truck: Currently sits on 295 65 R18 Good year Wrangler Duratrac tires. I put these on in September of 2013. Front suspension has Nissan Titan 2008 4x4 coilovers with bilstein 5100 strucks set to the middle perch. This leveled the truck. Rear shocks are bilstein 5100. Done in August 2013. Rear axle seals were pulled and repressed and resealed by my local shop. August 2013. I do my own oil changes every 5,000 miles. Front and Rear rotors replaced June 2013 and Hawk brake pads front and rear put on. Brake lines re bled with new fluid. New gravity sensor replaced June 2013. Both engine headers have been replaced with JBA long tube catted headers and has a jba exhaust. The exhaust is not welded, but still clamped. I was planning to change out the jba to a borla exhaust with vibrant resonator. I have the parts. Done in August 2013. Truck has been up rev tuned for the new headers and cats. I can check with the up rev guy if I can pass on the tuning program and cables. Truck has an ARE bed cap. SONY DVD radio system. September 2013. All parts with box included. Repainted black front grill and bumpers. I am a volunteer Paramedic in my area so my truck has green responder lights set up. It has a whelen front dash light, 4 grill lights, two back lights in the cap and has a strobe in each headlight and rear light. All lights are wired and run to the central console controlled by the whelen brain and a whelen control box. In addition there are three antennae on the truck roof. A uhf, vhf and scanner antennae. These will be left with the truck. The radios will not. The whelen brain and control box will only be left if you are an active member of an agency with ID otherwise I will leave the lights and pull the controls and replace the center console bucket. If you are interested in seeing the truck or test driving please email me or text. I work ems in the city, so my schedule rotates. I have this truck listed on multiple sites so I reserve the right to pull this add at any time if truck is sold. |

The Scoot Quad is Nissan's small step toward EV car sharing
Thu, Dec 24 2015Halfway up Laguna Street, the panic set in. I might not make it up this hill. With my foot depressed all the way to the floor, I sucked in my stomach and started to pray. Yet again, I found myself in an unconventional way to get around on four wheels – but this time, I was on my own, and behind the wheel. Meet the Scoot Quad, aka Nissan New Mobility Concept, aka Renault Twizy. The many aliases reflect the path of descent from its development as a quirky French electric vehicle to its proliferation as a model for car sharing. The Quad resides in San Francisco as part of the Scoot fleet of shared electric vehicles and it's most certainly not for sale. As the line blurs between those who share cars for personal reasons and those who use them for business purposes, Scoot and Nissan came to an agreement in which a small number of New Mobility Concepts would join the Scoot fleet – which currently includes over 300 motorbikes. The added value of Scoot is the capacity for one-way rentals around the city, as well as a dedicated network of charging stations. "We think it's just the best way to get around the city for everyone," said Scoot fleet vice president Mike Waltman, explaining how 10 New Mobility Concepts made their way to San Francisco. Charging time is about four hours on a Level Two charger, made possible through Scoot's network of stations around the city. The one-plus-one Twizy has been in production since 2012 and on sale in certain overseas markets, but it's entirely new for the United States, and it wears the Nissan badge here – kind of. No major changes were made to the Twizy when it became the New Mobility Concept, and similarly none were made in its "transformation" to the Quad. It sports the same insectile shape and the rear profile of a top hat, as well as an identical powertrain: a 13-kilowatt motor that produces 17 horsepower, routed to the rear wheels through a single-speed automatic transmission. Charging time is about four hours on a Level Two charger, made possible through Scoot's network of stations around the city. Its top speed is 50 miles per hour, but Nissan installed a governor at 25 mph to conform to US low-speed vehicle requirements. New Scoot members are required to successfully pass an exam before beginning to use the service, so that was my first order of business. After spending about 35 minutes going through a series of informational videos on the Scoot app, as any new member would do, I was ready to ride Scoot motorcycles.
Nissan NV200 finds new work as ambulance, Gibson guitar repair truck
Thu, 28 Mar 2013We live in a world now where not every police cruiser and taxi is a Ford Crown Victoria, not every executive car is a Lincoln Town Car and not every ambulance is based on a Ford Econoline van. Vehicles like the new Nissan NV200 are making inroads into the service, livery and emergency vehicle markets, and we've got a couple cases in point to share.
The first one is a fleet of 30 new ambulances based on the heavier-duty NV2500 chassis. They are entering the Mexican Red Cross fleet of emergency vehicles this year after performing well in pilot tests last year. The Mexican Red Cross says it receives 1,200,000 ambulance service requests per year, so the mettle of these new machines will be tested in a hurry.
The second example is less useful for life-saving, but may save a guitar from going to the scrap heap. Called the Gibson NV200 Mobile Repair & Restoration Van, it can take the services of an authorized Gibson rep anywhere they're needed to repair or restore an axe in need. The van features a whole aesthetic designed to evoke the classic Gibson look, with wood veneer and shades of brown and black used throughout. There's a guitar rack that holds four instruments, a sliding 56-inch long repair table, toolbox, genuine Gibson stools and a sound system by Gibson Pro Audio.
Nissan commits to adding 'iconic' design after Cube killed off
Fri, 25 Jul 2014The Nissan Cube is on its way out here in the US and Canada. In a way, that's too bad, simply because the Cube's styling was nothing if not distinctive - much like the company's own Juke. However, the flame for uniquely styled models is indeed still burning over at Nissan.
We might never see an exact replacement for the Cube in the brand's lineup, but product planning boss Andy Palmer says that its retirement leaves a spot open in the Nissan lineup for something else. "To be clear, we will morph this space in our portfolio into something iconic," said Palmer to Automotive News. Unfortunately, he wouldn't hint at what that could mean.
However, his lack of suggestions makes it fun to speculate about what oddity could replace the Cube, especially since two of Nissan's more recent quirky concepts might have problems hitting the road. The Bladeglider is mired in Nissan and Deltawing Technologies' ongoing patent lawsuit. Alternatively, the retro-inspired IDx might be too expensive to build profitably. Still, this is the company that created both the (nearly dead) Murano CrossCabriolet and the very successful Juke; it can probably come up with something else delightfully weird.
