Save thousands on a rebuilt title!

For sale is a low mileage (34xxx) and rare Sentra that is in very good shape.  We purchased it in April 2012 with a Rebuilt title. It was rebuilt at 2,000 miles due to an accident that caused rear damage.  The original owner replaced the rear impact bar, trunk, rear bumper and LH taillight.  He got it inspected and certified by the DMV.  Between the original owner and us we have driven it 30,000 miles without any major problems (replaced exhaust pipe recently).  We get it serviced regularly and our mechanic assured us there was no frame or engine damage.

Some of the unique features are: white leather interior, heated driver and passenger seats, sliding moonroof, spoiler, premium 17 inch wheels with custom rims, and an AUX input.  Everything else is standard (power windows, power locks, two keyless remotes but only one key). Only feature missing that we wanted was cruise and keyless trunk release. Gas mileage is good and around 25/30. We have been using this car as a commute vehicle and have put very little mileage on it, but we use it daily so mileage will change.

Interior and exterior are in great condition.  There are no leather tears or major scratches/dents, you can't tell its 4+ years old!!  There is a minor crack in the front bumper below the license plate, but it does not extend from the through the entire bumper (see picture).  The engine is a 2.0L 4 cylinder automatic transmission. We are selling the car because we need a larger vehicle that handles the snow and will be good for future family expansion.  The car has been very reliable and was recently serviced.  The tires all have >50% tread and no issues with the brakes. No oil leaks or any other concerns.

We are asking for $8,500 or best offer. The KBB very good value is about $11,500, which doesn't factor in heated seats, and we are asking around 75% of that because it is a Rebuilt title (although rear damage is naturally less concerning).  Message me if you would like to see more pictures or have any questions!  Also, feel free to contact John at (434) 882-146two if you are interested.. Cash, wire, or certified check only.

Nissan wants an American driver for its Le Mans team

Sat, 20 Sep 2014

"We'll use every driver development tool we have to take them to the next level, but they will also have to step up." - Darren Cox
Nissan is aiming to put an American behind the wheel of one of its LMP1 racecars in 2016 as part of plans to grow its motorsports program in the United States.

Hurricane Sandy cost automakers 15,000 vehicles, may have ruined up to 200k

Wed, 07 Nov 2012

Hurricane Sandy was the largest Atlantic storm in US history, and its total economic impact is just now coming into view. According to Automotive News, Toyota, Chrysler, Nissan and Honda are set to scrap around 15,000 new vehicles ruined by the storm. Nissan alone accounts for about 40 percent of those, with 6,000 Nissan and Infiniti models deeded "un-saleable" due to damage. The company saw 56 dealerships shuttered due to the storm, but 51 of those have since reopened.
Toyota, meanwhile, had some 4,000 vehicles at its Newark port facility, and of those, 3,000 may be scrapped. An additional 825 were dealer inventory when they were ruined. Honda and Acura dealers are reportedly sending 3,440 vehicles to the salvage yard. By comparison, Chrysler weathered the storm fairly well with 825 units destroyed, while Hyundai suffered only 400 lost units and Kia scrapped around 200.
As you may recall, Fisker also suffered some losses, and Automotive News reports the manufacturer saw 320 Karma models damaged beyond repair. Ford and General Motors have yet to come up with estimates, and no automaker has commented on the full cost of replacing the vehicles.

Nissan recalling 2012-14 Frontier pickups over fire risk

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

Nissan is recalling its Frontier pickup over fire concerns, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration bulletin. A total of 13,535 vehicles are being recalled, all from the 2012 to 2014 model years, built between November 28, 2012 and December 27, 2013.
The NHTSA report states that "in the affected vehicles, a circuit breaker may have been installed incorrectly causing the main wire harness connected to the circuit breaker to face outward, potentially contacting a metal bolt located on the A-pillar." If this happens, it's possible that "the bolt may wear though the wire harness covering, resulting in an electrical short," NHTSA states. In the event of an electric short, a fire may occur.
The official recall will begin in March, where Nissan dealers will inspect the circuit breaker for the correct orientation, and if necessary, repair the vehicles, free of charge. Scroll down for the full NHTSA bulletin.
