Nissan confirms what's in the box
Tue, 28 Jan 2014While there were few doubts about what could've been hiding under the giant cardboard box being transported on a flatbed truck earlier this month, Nissan has officially confirmed that it was, in fact, a Versa Note being delivered from Amazon.
As a part of the special promotion, online shoppers who bought a Versa Note using the retailing giant also received a $1,000 Amazon gift card. Scroll down to watch how the car was packaged and shipped as well as what the buyer did with all that cardboard.
Farmer moves illegally parked car with tractor
Wed, May 4 2016Bad parking in London can get you a ticket or the boot, but bad parking in the West Country is treated in a more direct manner. One motorist learned this fact in early May when a video published by The Daily Mail showing a farmer moving a car with his tractor went viral. Lianne Dunn and Ally Boxall were out for a drive near Marksbury when they came upon a strange sight. Coming at them down the narrow country lane was a tractor with a red Mazda6 perched on its front-end loader attachment. One of the women pulled out her cell phone and filmed the odd scene while the other backed into a convenient driveway to let the tractor past. As the tractor trundled by with its load, they asked the young man guiding the driver what was going on. "They parked in this chap's drive," he said in his broad, West Country burr. "He asked us to move the car, nobody claimed it." When asked where the pair were taking the car, the unnamed farmer replied, "We're going to put it up on the main road. It's the police's problem then." The two women, obviously entertained by the spectacle, exchange a few more words with the young farmer before they finally drive off. "This is the best!" one of the women says as on the video. "Never piss a farmer off!" Nissan says next Rogue coming September 10
Thu, 22 Aug 2013The Nissan Rogue has been around since 2007, and after nearly seven years on the market, it's about due for replacement. Which is just what Nissan has announced is coming up next down the pipeline.
The Japanese automaker didn't reveal much to go with this teaser image of the headlight and front fender, saying only that "the all-new 2014 Nissan Rogue will push the envelope of CUV design starting on September 10 when it is unveiled." That's the day on which the Frankfurt Motor Show opens its doors for press previews, so it's pretty safe to say that we'll be seeing it at the Messe.
The news follows the spy shots we brought you two weeks ago. Expect the design to follow the lead set forth by the Hi-Cross concept from Geneva last year, with production to take place in Tennessee.
