Ok, so here's the deal….. This truck is awesome! There is no other way to explain it (you might be asking 'If the truck is so awesome, why is he getting rid of it?'. I'll explain that later).
It has been everything we (that would be my family and I) have wanted in a vehicle. But sadly it has to go. Why you might ask? Because my family has become too big. Sadly, I have to put what little dignity I have left on the chopping block and get the wife the dreaded Mini-van. (This is a sad moment in my life). But all is not lost, as long as the Mini-van is black and has a sunroof… anyway enough of my sob story. We have taken this truck on many trips and it has not disappointed. It is comforted and rides really well. And yes, I wouldn't hesitate to drive this across the country and back again and then go up to Canada and then turn around and drive to Mexico. I have changed the oil every 3000 miles. The only repair that I have had to do since I bought the truck 2 years ago is replace the radiator last year. Apparently this is a common problem in the Pathfinder's and Xterra's. Well that's what the mechanic told me anyway. Everything was put back right and we haven't had a problem with anything since. Transmission shifts like butter (which means it shifts really nicely). The motor runs strong and sounds smooth. There are no mechanical problems. My wife drives it on a daily basis with our tribe of (4) kids and feels completely safe going to the road. In the photos you might notice (you will now since I'm mentioning it) that the cup holders are missing that fit in the back of the center console. We removed them before they would get destroyed. They are not broken. I will be putting them back in to the successful winner of this awesome truck! The only blemishes are in both passage doors from the knuckle heads at the grocery stores who open doors into mine and then walk away. I purchased the truck from Mathieu Ford in Winchendon MA, 2 years ago with 98xxx miles on it. (At that stage we only had 3 kids and I didn't think our family was going to get any bigger. Boy, was I wrong!) Incase you have any doubt, this truck is….. Awesome! Do some research and see what people are saying and make your own judgment. I did and I wasn't and haven't been disappointed. Please note that this is a USED vehicle not a abused vehicle. The only guarantee that I will offer you is that I will personally hand you the keys and say "Thanks for buying the vehicle" when you come and pick it up. I have a bunch more photos. Ebay only lets me upload 24 since I'm not a dealer. So if you want to see more, let me know. I'll send you everything I have, or try to anyway. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. |

Nissan Juke facelift spied during testing
Mon, 03 Feb 2014The Nissan Juke boldly reinvented the subcompact crossover for the modern age a decade after the niche's progenitors - the first-generation Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V - grew well beyond their original, diminutive sizes. Since being introduced in 2010 as a 2011 model, the Juke has proven to be a huge sales success for Nissan in Europe and quite a success here, too. A modest refresh is planned for the 2015 model year of Nissan's tiniest crossover, and our spy shooters have caught an early glimpse.
The exact changes are not easy to spot, but you can bet that anywhere you see camouflage, a modestly new look is hidden underneath. The biggest change up front is the narrower grille that appears to no longer extend over the headlights. Assuming this isn't just a clever disguise, the change gives the impression that the Juke actually has distinct headlights, instead of massive fog lights. The more angular front air dam also appears to extend slightly lower than before, and the intakes appear to be revised as well.
The changes to the rear are even more minor. You can still see the outlines of the boomerang-shaped headlights, and any alterations to the rear bumper are impossible to spot behind the camouflage tape. It's also unclear at this point whether the interior will receive any refinements or new options.
Chip shortage will hit Nissan, Suzuki and Mitsubishi in June
Sat, May 22 2021TOKYO — A global chip shortage is forcing Nissan and Suzuki to temporarily halt production at some plants in June, sources with direct knowledge of the plans told Reuters on Friday. Nissan will idle its factory in Kyushu, southern Japan, for three days on June 24, 25 and 28, while making production adjustments during the month at its Tochigi and Oppama plants in Japan, three sources said. Nissan will also temporarily halt production of some of its models at its Mexico plant, they said, declining to be identified because the plan is not public. "A global shortage of semiconductors has affected parts procurement in the auto sector. Due to the shortage, Nissan is adjusting production and taking necessary actions to ensure recovery," a Nissan spokeswoman said. Suzuki will idle its three plants in Shizuoka prefecture from three to nine days, two sources said, also declining to be identified because the plan is not public. The plan "has not been confirmed," a Suzuki spokesman said, explaining that while the carmaker gave its provisional production plan to auto part makers, it is still making adjustments to minimize the impact of the chip shortage. Elsewhere, Mitsubishi will reduce production by 30,000 vehicles in total in June at five plants in Japan, Thailand and Indonesia, a spokeswoman said, adding that the impact has already been factored into its earnings outlook for the current fiscal year. Nissan Xterra's fate hangs in the balance
Sat, 21 Sep 2013The Nissan Xterra might not be long for this world, according to a report from Edmunds. The rugged SUV, which has always been a bit more of a hardcore, purpose-built vehicle than the rest of the Nissan SUV range. But it has also suffered from slowing sales, low fuel economy relative to the competition and general neglect, as Nissan has focused on other offerings in its range.
"There are plans to replace it, there are always plans, (but) I am not sure it will happen. I would say in the next six months to a year," Pierre Loing, vice president of product planning for Nissan Americas told Edmunds. Part of the problem, he added, was that the Xterra is a US-only vehicle, which makes it a hard sell in a world where automakers are increasingly depending on global cars.
Besides the economic forces working against the Xterra, it's just a vehicle that hasn't been a huge sales success of late. Customers are more conscious of fuel economy and a body-on-frame SUV that only nets 16 miles per gallon just isn't good enough; arguably why Nissan barely sold 17,000 units last year. We can hold out hope, as the Xterra remains a fun off-roader that we'd hate to see go, but unless Nissan finds a business case or some global partners, this is a vehicle that is on its last leg.
