2001 Nissan Pathfinder SE. VERY RARE, You will not find another one with the low low mileage this one has. I bought it with every intention of keeping it but I just started a new job and got a company truck and don't have a need for it anymore. I bought it a couple of months ago with 51,000 miles, searched for 6 months to find a stick pathfinder with low mileage that was clean. This was the exact truck I wanted, It was intended to be my personal truck and I was goint to drive it for a long time. After I got it I changed all the fluids, front, rear, trans, transfer case, over to mobil 1 full synthetic gear oil, (that way they never have to be changed again) replaced the air filter, There was a tiny hole in the muffler, I replaced the exhaust from the cat back, and changed the oil with mobil 1 synthetic oil every 3000 miles, and just gave it a fresh oil change yesterday. This truck needs nothing but a new owner, It runs smooth and quiet, clutch grabs nice, stops on a dime, brake pedal is firm, tires in rear have 25% tread left fronts have 50% tread. all the power windows work great, as well as the electronics, 4 wheel drive works perfect and this truck can handle the snow with ease. It is super clean in side, and still smells and looks new, the outside is very nice as well, only has one mark on the rear bumper as pictured, The paint is perfect and glossy, it looks more like a 1 or 2 year old truck. I am sad to see it go but I don't have the room to keep it. whoever buys this truck is pretty much getting a new truck, at only 59000 miles, this is a truck that will run 300,000 miles easy. Its low maintenance. its the 255 horsepower 3.5 which has a timing chain , not a belt so it never has to be replaced, the spark plugs are good til 100,000 miles, all you have to really do is change the oil and put gas in it., please feel free to email me with any questions or to set up a time to come see it and drive it before you bid, I am starting the bid very low with no reserve, if you want to buy it now, the price is $9500.Thanks for looking.

'Charge lock' on Nissan Leaf doesn't actually prevent cable theft
Thu, Oct 2 2014Is it a feature or a bug? According to AutoblogGreen reader Francois Viau, the locking mechanism that holds the 110V trickle charge cable to his Nissan Leaf is too weak, and that's a problem. That's because while he thought the cable was locked to his car during a charge session at work, someone stole the cable, and it cost him $2,200 to replace it (in Canadian dollars, from the Nissan dealer). To see just how easy it is to unlock the mechanism, Viau had a "small assistant" jimmy it open with a plastic comb on video (watch it below). "The charge lock feature on Nissan Leaf is not intended to prevent theft of the charging cordset." – Brian Brockman We wondered if this was a common problem and, through the magic of Facebook, we had AutoblogGreen reader Phil Tipper try it out on his 2013 SL Leaf. He said he used an insulated handle flat screwdriver and was not able to defeat the lock. "I admit that I didn't want to force the mechanism for fear of breaking it, it didn't look like that kid used much force at all," he said. "Maybe this guy's mechanism was damaged in the theft and now it's very easy to trip the lock out of the way." Fifty percent of a sample size of two isn't a reliable metric, but if you're worried about locking your cable in place, you can see some of Viau's anti-theft solutions here (in French, with pictures). Turns out, though, that the white plastic bit that prevents the cable handle from working during a charge isn't really an anti-theft device. Brian Brockman, senior manager of corporate communications for Nissan North America, told AutoblogGreen that, "The charge lock feature on Nissan Leaf is not intended to prevent theft of the charging cordset. It is designed to discourage someone from unplugging the vehicle while a charging session is in progress. The trickle charge cable features a small hole in the release button to allow the owner to insert a lock to reduce the chance of theft." So, now you know. This content is hosted by a third party. Nissan to expand next-gen Titan with more engines, configurations
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Not much has changed with the Nissan Titan in the decade that it's been on the market, but the 2015 model year could move the needle enough to turn the truck from an "also ran" in the fullsize truck market to more of a contender. Edmunds had the chance to sit down with Pierre Loing, vice president of product and advanced planning and strategy for Nissan North America, who indicated that not only will a new truck be coming for 2015, it is also expected to take a bigger chunk of the truck market currently dominated by Ford and General Motors.
For starters, the article quotes Loing saying that the next-gen Titan could sell 100,000 units, which is almost five times the number of Titans and the same number of Toyota Tundra trucks sold last year. To accomplish this, Nissan is planning to offer a wider number of models (including a regular cab version) and more powertrain options; we're sure this means Nissan is considering offering a V6. The addition of a regular-cab, V6 Titan would also allow this truck to be more competitively priced.
Will that be enough to attract buyers away from the Big Three domestic trucks? We'll just have to wait and see...
Chrysler, Nissan looking into claim that their cars are industry's most hackable
Sun, 10 Aug 2014A pair of cyber security experts have awarded the ignominious title of most hackable vehicles on American roads to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Infiniti Q50 and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek are set to release a report at the Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas, Automotive News reports. The two men found the Jeep, Caddy and Q50 were easiest to hack based not on actual tests with the vehicles, but a detailed analysis of systems like Bluetooth and wireless internet access - basically, anything that'd allow a hacker to remotely gain access to the vehicle's systems.
Considering this lack of hands-on testing, the pair acknowledge that "most hackable" could be a relative term - they point out that the vehicles may actually be quite secure.
