1986 1/2 Nissan Kingcab Pickup 6cylinder Manual 4wd on 2040-cars
Murrieta, California, United States
You are
bidding on a rare 1986 1/2 Nissan pick up king cab with matching silver bed
cover with approximately 179,500 original miles. It also has bike racks for two
on top of the bed cover. The truck runs good without any issues. The A/C and
heater works great. I purchased the vehicle from the original owner about 6
years ago with 159K miles. I've driven it approximately 20 1/2 K miles and it
has not given me any troubles except having to change out the thermostat. Both
myself and the original owner has taken good care of this truck. The oil has
been changed every 3k miles with full synthetic oil and has the K & N air
filter. It has a sunroof with cover and a sliding back window. It has a full
spare with stock rim. It also comes with all manuals, two original keys, and
all of the service records from the original owner and myself.
Please
keep in mind that this is a used 28 years old vehicle so it will have some
imperfections. I will list them to my best ability but please ask questions. I
tried to show the imperfections in the pictures but if you need more pictures
or more information please ask. In my opinion, this is probably one of the rare
condition for this year. I have gotten a lot of compliments on how great this
truck look. It starts every time without any problems and it runs great.
The
following are what I've noticed of the imperfections but keep in mind that I am
being as truthful as I can but I am not a professional or an expert on knowing
what is considered imperfect so please ask questions:
1. The
key ignition doesn't automatically recoil back when you turn the key ignition
on. You have to manually turn the key slightly counterclockwise after the
engine starts. This does not impact for the truck to start or run. 2. Since
I was planning on selling the car locally I went to get a California smog check
and it failed. Which I was very shocked since it has passed the previous ones
and it runs with no probs. So I decided to post it on ebay since some states
have different smog criteria. 3. There
are some dents, scratches, wear and tear on the paint and in the interior of
the car. Please look at the pictures. I tried to show everything but please ask
for more pics or questions.
I just
replaced the rear tires so they are basically brand new. The buyers sole
responsibility in transporting the truck. I will assist as much as I can in
working with your transport company.
The bid
will start at $2500 with a buy it now at $3500. This is your chance of owning a
rare condition stock and original truck. Good luck and happy bidding. |

Nissan paint prank involves 'world's cleanest' Leaf
Wed, Dec 3 2014If you want attention, then there's nothing like a good prank to get people looking. Nissan is taking a page from the old Candid Camera playbook to show off a new self-cleaning nano-paint technology called Ultra-Ever Dry. Turns out, when you spill a water-based paint on it, the paint just drips right off. And with enough hidden cameras, you can get the perfect passersby "Oh! Huh?" face on film. Part of the "World's Cleanest Car" campaign that Nissan had at the LA Auto Show, the stunt is meant to highlight the fact that the car is clean (i.e., zero emissions) and also clean (not dirty). Get it? Ha! Yeah, well, that's the joke. It works better on video, which you can see below. While the paint thing is mildly interesting (this isn't a production car, and Ultra-Ever Dry is just an example of what could be coming) we did find it notable that this is the first main Leaf campaign we can think of that promotes the car not as a plug-in vehicle first (remember the polar bear?) but as a car with some wacky cool new tech. Oh, and it happens to plug in. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. NISSAN'S "SELF-CLEANING LEAF" HITS THE STREETS, THEN THE WEB – "World's cleanest car" to be featured in an innovative social media campaign starting today – NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 2, 2014) –The "world's cleanest car" is daring its fans to get it dirty. Starting today, Nissan will launch a social media campaign that will include a series of online videos to showcase a zero-emissions Nissan LEAF with self-cleaning nano-paint technology. Created to demonstrate its potential use in future production vehicles, this LEAF is armed with Ultra-Ever Dry® paint to help repel almost any liquid that may come its way. Nissan first introduced the one-of-a-kind LEAF this past April. "The LEAF is already one of the cleanest vehicles around even without this incredibly innovative paint technology; that said, we're not afraid to get our hands dirty to take this to the next level," said Pierre Loing, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America, Inc. "Getting fans involved via this social media campaign is a fun, creative way to show how the LEAF can stay clean no matter how dirty the world around it may be.
Toyota, Honda, Mazda and Nissan recall 3.4 million vehicles for faulty airbags
Thu, 11 Apr 2013Most vehicle recalls that take place these days are a result of some problem that happens during the manufacturing process by the automaker, but as we see here, parts suppliers can also factor in to problematic safety issues. Automotive News is reporting that a total of 3.4 million vehicles produced by Japanese automakers between 2000 and 2004 are being recalled globally due to faulty airbags produced by an outside supplier, Takata Corp.
According to the report, vehicles from Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Mazda are being recalled because of passenger front airbags that do not inflate properly. Globally, Toyota is said to be recalling around 1.73 million cars including 510,000 in the US composed of Toyota Corolla, Matrix, Sequoia and Tundra as well as the Lexus SC430 for the 2001 through 2003 model years; this is the second time this year the 2003 Corolla and Matrix have been recalled for an airbag problem. Honda is recalling 1.14 million models, Nissan another 480,000 and Mazda 45,463. The article says that Takata supplied faulty airbags to non-Japanese automakers, but it did not specify which ones.
Honda and Toyota have released information on their own websites about the recall, while Nissan and Mazda have not yet commented. Read official press releases from Honda and Toyota, below, and look for updates as we have word from the others.
Nissan giving away Leaf-shaped air fresheners that smell like the future
Sat, 14 Dec 2013We had to check our calendar to make sure it didn't read April 1, but since it's not April Fool's Day, we have to assume that Nissan of Europe really has created a special air freshener scent to give away this Christmas. To create this original fragrance, Nissan looked to Dr. George Dodd, a master perfumer and aroma academy scientist who looks a tiny bit like Santa Claus (we seriously aren't making this stuff up).
Like a mad scientist, Dr. Dodd went to work blending chemicals and fragrances to design a smell that matches the Leaf's Earth-friendly, zero-emission attitude. Once the "scent of the future" is transformed into the lovely Santa-driving, Leaf-shaped air freshener you see above, Nissan of Europe will be giving one to its employees, Leaf customers and "select electric car fans." Sadly, EV - and scent - enthusiasts here in the US will be stuck with the tried-and-true pine tree air freshener.
We don't want to ruin exactly what Dodd finally came up with for the "scent of the future," but you can find out for yourselves in the video and press release posted below.
