Nissan reveals the face of the new Qashqai

Last week Nissan revealed the first teaser image previewing its upcoming new Qashqai. That one was wearing a big sheet and showed us little other than its basic shape and a few highlighted details, but now the Japanese automaker has released the first undisguised-ish image of the new European-market crossover.
From the image above we can tell the new Qashqai will carry the familiar face of Nissan's latest crossovers well, with the U-shaped grille and angular LED accents in the headlamp clusters. The sharp creases in the hood also make it stand out as quintessentially Japanese, particularly in a crossover market where they can all start to look the same.
We'll have to wait just a few more days to see the full thing, with the reveal set for November 7, but Nissan also released a tidy infographic showing just how successful the outgoing Qashqai has been for it in the European market. Check it out below.

In case you forgot, the Dubai Police supercar fleet is the coolest

Ever wonder why the Dubai Police have a fleet of vehicles worth millions and millions and millions of dollars? Why it has a Bugatti Veyron and a Bentley Continental and a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG with sirens and light bars? Well, here's the reason. This video shows the fleet on display on the Emirate's roads and highways, while also reaching out to the people the police are meant to protect. It's an impressive display of machinery, to be sure. Alongside the Bentley, Bugatti and Mercedes, we spy a Ferrari FF, a Brabus G-Wagen, a BMW M6, a Nissan GT-R, an Audi R8 and a McLaren MP4-12C (although the latest Dubai Police car, the Lexus RC F, is absent). The video even has a very cinematic look and feel to it, which works well with the night scenes and the blues-and-twos of the exotics cruisers. Nissan previews new Sport Sedan Concept ahead of Detroit debut

When the Cobo Center opens its doors in a couple of weeks for the Detroit Auto Show, there'll be plenty of new metal on display - and this is the latest.
Nissan announced today that it will bring a new Sport Sedan Concept to the Detroit show, releasing the short statement below accompanied by the teaser image above. Expected to hint at the next Maxima, the concept "previews a new energetic design direction that amplifies Nissan's legendary approach of applying sports car principles to a sedan."
That's about all Nissan is saying for now, so we'll have to wait a while longer to find out more. But the concept will be joined on the show floor by the IDx Freeflow and IDx Nismo concepts that'll be showcased for the first time in North American after their debut at the Tokyo Motor Show over a month ago.
